  1. So there are going to be auctions where the first time we know the books is when the auction starts?
  2. What about the preview? My understanding was that the new website meant we'd be able to see previews even while other auctions were running.
  3. Well...yikes. (Fwiw, I don't think <$300 for a 9.6 is a terrible deal, except that trends suggest it'll go lower so one could reasonably afford to wait.)
  4. I don't see the logic of buying immediately after the movie. Wait 1, 3, 6 months to buy the book; prices will have gone down a lot by then but you'll still be able to profit when the character shows up again. Then again, I'm primarily a D.C. collector at this point so I clearly don't know jack about making a profit...
  5. Indeed. That was part of the "both twists" to which I referred.
  6. Very strong mid-season finale. Both twists were things I sort of saw coming, but not exactly how I saw them. Hope we get a Season 5 announcement sooner rather than later, and that the second half of Season 4 also comes sooner rather than later.
  7. One of the best. The Laughing Fish storyline, thanks to its B:TAS adaptation, is a true classic.
  8. Most recent sale was $250,000, at the beginning of September, also on CC. Hard to imagine this one gets close to the $385,000 asking price any time soon.
  9. Extremely well said. My stories aren't on the same level, but the sentiment is the same and I appreciate it greatly.
  10. Just checked out my low-grade copy of Detective 359...not upset at all with what its value has done recently.
  11. I simply can't do it. Especially with one of my collecting priorities being books from the 1990s/early 2000s, I am *very* happy to settle for a 9.x < 9.8. A 9.8 today could easily be a 9.4 tomorrow, and vice versa.
  12. Very solid. I like the focus on the original members of the Team, and the storytelling choices have also been really good within the season itself. Definitely Season 1, which as I said above is one of the best seasons of superhero television ever.
  13. I have a restored copy in much less nice condition, which will have to suffice for now.
  14. It's not just the quality of the inventory...they don't seem to get how to properly sell and describe comics, trying to treat them exactly the same as sports cards, which isn't the right approach.
  15. I absolutely adore this show. Season 1 is by far my favorite (and one of the best seasons of superhero television ever, I think), but everything after it has also been fantastic. I recommend it at every chance I get.
  16. I've decided this is the best superhero show currently on TV. It's the most consistent across the board in terms of writing, plot, and acting. I haven't been disappointed once this season.
  17. Will this new marketplace include comics? Saw Goldin (not Ken, but an emissary) set up at Baltimore, so I'm looking forward to future offerings.
  18. 10/28-10/30 is a bummer; hopefully I can make it but I was looking forward to it going back to mid-September. Alas.
  19. Had a great time today. Bought a few books that have been on my list, and got good deals on all three of them. I was excited, and the show did not disappoint. My only regret is being unable to go tomorrow or Sunday.
  20. Hours? I give it <45 minutes. Curious if this gets adapted into Superman and Lois' character--possible, if the character is written as bisexual.
  21. Thor just doesn't do it for me; the mix of serious/humor is off. I also liked Ant-Man more than this one; I may not have made that clear.
