    Sure, maybe I was too harsh (it does look harsh re-reading it). I may just be extra-tough on Goldin, from whom I've bought a fair number of sports cards. But with this big of a player, better to be overly critical than under-critical.

    Why should we be motivated to work with Goldin when someone in your position doesn't think to check this board, or even do a forum-wide search for "Goldin"? The attention to detail seems lacking, when this is supposed to be such a big deal.

    I'm so hesitant to sell anything worth more than ~$150 on eBay out of fear of scammers and other negative consequences. Removing those risks from the equation is such a huge plus.

    I must've looked at my copy in the last few weeks, and I've never noticed this. Amazing!

    The last couple episodes have definitely been improvements; the voice acting and animation have always been strong, but the writing has been much better--less juvenile and more subtle. Glad to see the show trending upwards.

    It's X-Men 4. The CGC notes for FF 48 say "1st appearance of Silver Surfer, and Galactus (cameo last page)., Inhumans and Watcher appearance." No mention of Quicksilver.

    Only 23 comics included in this first offering; they're good comics, but this is...underwhelming to say the least.

    That's exactly what's happening here. It's a problem throughout eBay, and eBay is largely unwilling to fix the problem, except when it involves a company that's about to leave the platform to start its own platform.

    I'm wondering if Strange Tales 110 will spike sooner than expected, based on the Spider-Man trailer? Seems like Strange will play a prominent role, which may cause a jump even before Multiverse comes out.

    There's been a ton of discussion about this on sports cards forums (e.g., blowout's forum), and the macro points are: (1) PWCC has been shilling forever, and it's a problem; (2) eBay actually did this because PWCC was about to leave anyway for its own platform, and (3) eBay is unlikely to crack down on shilling much beyond PWCC.

    That's a Gem Mint rookie for two of the five greatest basketball players of all time (Magic and Larry); it's akin to a 9.6/9.8 copy of FF1, if FF1 was also the first appearance of Spider-Man or the Hulk.

    It's obviously an inexact comparison, since the T206 cards for players like Cy Young and Ty Cobb also command huge values, as do the early Ruth and Gehrig cards. But it also shows that sports cards are a different beast from comics.
