Just wanted to post a warning to anyone looking to do business with snitc-snitc on Ebay. Won the following auction here which he graded at VF+. The book doesn't look VF+ in his scans, but I bidded accordingly expecting a F/F+ copy. Instead this seller sent out a completely different copy than what was pictured in the auction and it's VG at best. I brought up the issue to him and he confirmed that he did had multiple copies but used the same scan of another copy. Yet he called me picky and refused to do anything to resolve the problem. I have started the return process through Ebay, but I would advise anyone to stay away from his listings unless you want something that is horribly over-graded and different then what is shown in his pictures.

Sorry man! I hate that! Still, $830 ain't bad if it was a actual NIB. You shoulda pulled the trigger Wasn't NIB, and I ain't paying that much for this piece, ever. There are maybe 3-5 older Sideshow pieces I would pay this kind of dough for, and she ain't one of them which is why I'll probably never get one. I was also watching that auction and was shocked to see that last minute price jump. I don't think it's worth the price either especially when there's a defect on the exclusive head piece. It's gonna cost more $$ just to send it to a professional to get it fixed / restored.

Just a heads up, whoever is selling this on Craigslist has lifted the photos and verbage word per word from my Ebay auction. I have already reported this to Craigslist, yet they did nothing to take down the listing. Here is the link to my auction. Optimus Prime I would advise heavily not to deal with this clown as I know whatever he is selling is not what you see in the pictures because I still have it in my possession. This is rather interesting. I looked at the pictures and they are indeed the same. Yes he is on craigslist. How did you find out about this? I have not heard from this person yet and I always do sales in person since my size deters them. I wonder if this is the same person selling cgc comics on there too. He never answers me and still posts the same thing over and over. Thank you for letting me know and I will see what happens if he does reply. I do not even know how he can even pull this off using craigslist. I've just bought 3 Silver Age Avengers from Ed. The transaction went smooth and flawless. The packaging was superb. Highly recommended!

yup, saw it in the main forum and it is simply gorgeous....I don't think it is a press and resub based on the data. The number of 9.2 and 9.4 didn't change in the last 3 months. If it is indeed a fresh newly discovered book, where has it been hiding all these years. Question is how would CGC be able to tell if it's a resub if the submitter doesn't tell them it's been cracked open? Also the better question is what is the estimated value of this copy given that 9.4's have been getting a steady 100k?

I think most of everyone else on this board did the same. It's kinda funny how gullible we were to buy into the hype of multiple covers, etc. As oppossed to what? Buying into the hype of pretty colored labels on pieces of plastic? More like as opposed to buying books with so much better written stories with descent artwork from a little company called Valiant when they were starting out. Those are like the only books from the 90's that I can pull out to reread over and over without ever getting tired of it.

Does anyone know anything about the history of the X-Force #1 with the white Captain America UPC logo? I'm curious as how it happened and is it common amongst the millions of copies that were printed?

Wow Chromium, nice collection you got there. I'm surprised that AF#15 only got a 2.5. Looks much better then the assigned grade. I'm currently working on a similar collection with only 5 books behind and looking to upgrade my AF15. Hopefully I'll be able to get the chance to showcase them soon.

Since we're forming clubs for all the major Silver Age keys, I figure I start this one up. I just got this in today through a smooth transaction with Blind Owl.

I've started putting an entire run (AF15 - 620) together around May of last year. As of right now I am about 21 issues away from completing it. The first 20 issues including AF #15 are all unrestored and slabbed between 4.0 - 7.0's. AF15 is the only exception at 1.5. The rest of the Silver Age books are all raw and averages around 6.0 - 7.0. The Bronze Age averages around 9.0 and moderns are around 9.2 - 9.4. I am still missing the following books. ASM #5, 6, 11, 12, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, 32, 33, 34, 39, 41, Annual 1, Annual 3

I have these two which are currently in my Ebay store. It was kinda odd when I ran into them. Basically it looks like the books were not cut properly that left all the pages still bound internally together. 1st book is a ASM Annual #10 and the 2nd is a StormWatch #1.

Cool book, but it makes me wonder.. Where do you pick up something this screwed up? The printer's dumpster? These don't actually make it to the comic shops, do they? I actually picked up a very similar error book a while back, but it was a copy of Archer & Armstrong #2 from Valiant Comics. Believe it or not, it was from a comic shop and the shop owner actually looked at me funny asking me am I sure I wanted that copy. I guess sometimes these books slips through the QA's cracks.

Fixed the #7 with what I had The math for the total books is wrong for #7.

Might as well add my copy to the club. I know the picture angle is horrible due to my camera flash, but I am currently looking into getting a legal sized scanner. Until then, the grade is a 4.0 for those that can't see it.

Why not just get a 6.0 ASM #1 to make the set look more even. It's way more affordable then a 9.0. BTW, excellent collection you got there.
