  1. I have no idea how the thread will turn out and doubt I'll have much interest in it, but I hope it fills whatever need the partcipants desire. I've always wanted to send people to the cornfield and finally it has happened. A Christmas Miracle.
  2. Looks like he speaks for the majority of people who care to voice an opinion.
  3. Christmas is a time I remember those no longer with me. What I have done the last couple of years is to use a little of the money I'd spend on their presents and buy something for myself that reminds me of them. My sister loved to cook so last Christmas I bought a cast iron skittle and every time I use it I think of her. Sometimes not so nicely when I'm cleaning the darn thing. As a kid, I had 18 Aunts and Uncles and nine cousins in my age range. All but four are gone.
  4. I'm going to assume that the few people that were the problem were unaware how annoying they were to many other posters and will now modify their behaviour. Let us put the Airing of Grievences behind us and move forward, together, to the Feats of Strength. Remember The Reason for The Season.
  5. It seems to me that, for the most part, the people taking shots and hurling insults are the people who are the problem to begin with. What an unexpected coincidence. Perhaps they are allergic to coal.
  6. Only by going too far do we find out just how far we can go.
  7. Don't they include some 1st generation Marvel cards or am I thinking of some other drek?
  8. I guess we are all waiting to see if you are a man of your word. Balls in your court.
  9. It's the Unknown Comics thread. OP bought some books from then, and then saw they were offering the same books in a bundle cheaper than the individual books costs. He wanted to switch and they wouldn't let him. I found it interesting and it was being looked at from both the buyers and sellers point of view. I have no idea what happened overnight but I can certainly quess.
  10. So you get to decide which threads are interesting and which ons aren't?
  11. How are we to know what threads to block until we read them and realize it has sunk into another kav-hole. Maybe if the powers to be showed us who were the two or three biggest contributors to a thread it would be different but until I open a thread I don't know if it is a well rounded discussion of something meaningful or two members having a circle jerk.
  12. It seems pretty obvious that many people here don't find find your particular sense of humor very funny. If you weren't aware of how annoying it was, now you are.
  13. Someone starts what I think is an interesting thread, and the next day i'm excited to see thirty or more responses only to open it and find twenty five of them are two members having a private joke. Sometimes I think the cornfield might be too good for them. To paraphrase Kevin Costner- sometimes, you just got to drop them off at the train station.
  14. It seems to be the same gaggle of people so a few brusque wrist slaps might take care of the situation without anyone having to be sent to the cornfield.
  15. Mycomicshop has the same policy. Once you hit the buy button, there are no changes. Some of these operations are huge, with hundreds of orders per day. Imagine if just 5% of the orders wanted to make adjustments to an already placed order. You'd almost need a department just to handle adjustments.
