  1. I found a VF and a VG- in my various Batman boxes, but never thought to look in my Whitman box. I'll have to dig that up.
  2. Any reason you waited nine years to continue this conversation?
  3. I'll give you $1 a book if it is the complete run
  4. I did. I never check the mixed sales forum and only just saw someone byuy something. My apologies to all. I will PM everyon who bought something today.
  5. I had a question on a consignment so I emailed them at 10:07 AM this morning. At 10:22 AM, the Director of Consignments got back to me after looking into the situation and cleared up any questions I had. Nuff Said!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Bambi and Godzilla? When it first came out ,around 1977, it was pretty revolutionary. It's actually from 1969 but I first saw it in 1977 as part of an international cartoon festival film.
  7. Do it the old fashioned way. Check out Stans Soapbox for a list of what is out that week or month. Remember no spinner rack is complete without a months old Charlton on the bottom rung.
  8. Me Three. I watched the Flash Gordon serials everyday after school in 1964 but that Buck Rogers book found me in the library some ten years later. Most libraries were very lacking in comic related reading in those days.
  9. It's too bad he didn't hold on to those Fish Police and Samurai sets. Don't look back. You should never look back. I recall a 1988 conversation where a customer wanted to put a book away to give his newborn son on his 21st birthday. At the time, all these books were close in price- GS X-Men 1, FF 48, GI Joe 2 and Nexus #1. I was pushing the first two while he liked the second ones. I believe he ended up with the GI Joe. I sold my AF 15 in 1981 for $200. I'd paid $115 for it a few months earlier and was quite happy with my profit.. I've never regretted it.
  10. It states in the text you scanned that this is a reprint edition.
  11. MCS sent a check on 12-2. It arrived yesterday. It's roughly 1100 miles.
  12. I'd start with ebay to see if any other copies have been sold recently. Then I'd check the pulp section of mycomicshop and see if they have any.
  13. RIP. I wasn't a big fan of his art style, but it amazed me how many non-comic fans seemed to love his art.
  14. I had them as guest at a convention in 1987 and they signed everything on the splash pages, not the cover so CGC will not knock the book down for that. You will get a blue label that notes that the names are written on the front page, but there is no way of knowing who wrote them. I think I would not slab the book if it were mine.
  15. I once had a Priority mail package delivered to the return address, which of course was mine. PO refused to accept they did anything wrong and I had to repackage and more importantly repay to send the package out.
  16. I wouldn't give a book like that anything higher than a VG, but CC is more lenient.
  17. I bought this building because it had great bones and fantastic potential. I'm not sure I want to dedicate my life to bringing it out.
