  1. I'm going to guess Mid-1970s. The graphics on the box, plus the character poses screams the twenty to twenty five cent cover era. Very nice piece.
  2. You are correct, they were 75 cent copies ,as opposed to the US .60 cent versions. Marvel and DCl were raising prices so quickly in those days, it's hard to keep track.
  3. The books with Canadian Pricing, say 95 cents vs US copies with 75 cents were only sold on newstands or did comic shops also sell them? I remember Crown got their hands on a bunch of .95 cent Thor 337s and the demand was less than they had expected. I did a local show where I had them for $1 each and another dealer was selling direct 337s for $3 and he outsold me.
  4. It's raw, not slabbed. You overpaid for it, but not horribly. Spine splits are pretty common in these books in low grade.
  5. 'The wrapped ones are Spidey #1, Ditko cover, X-Men 1( GS X-Men and 94 up) and FF1. Most of the other wrapped ones are only one print. I've found ten I want to sell, but think there is another box or two.
  6. I'm getting ready to sell some Marvel Omni, but am not sure how to tell the priniting when they are still wrapped. MCS isn't very clear on how to tell the different printings. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. And yet if the poster said that one of CGCs competitors lost him book, it would result in instant condemnation.
  8. MCS is only buying about 25% of the issues and is only looking for slabbed copies of the rest for consignment. Hopefully, the show heats up the Conan market, which seems to be pretty, pretty slow.
  9. I have a package from Russia that scanned into the depot at JFK and never scanned out. Scanned in on June 16th. After a lot of back and forth, the seller refunded my money and asked me to pay him if the package ever shows up. He says he has had ten packages disappear within the US this year, over 5% of what he has shipped.

  11. I once spent most of a weekend looking for a small item I'd sold on ebay for $8. It caused me to upgrade my oorganization. Where I used to be a three or four out of one hundred, I'm now at least a nine, maybe even a ten.
  12. Poylproplene has been around for years, and is very inferior to mylar or mylite. I'm not familiar with this brand but any polyproplene product is inferior.
  13. The split runs from the bottom of the spine up to the R in Marvel.
  14. I've a question that is slightly related. I've come across several sets of a three volume of bound Marvel Comics that appear to be every Marvel Comic printed that month. I've been told these were also given out at a Diamond summit meeting., yet they are much more common than the Blind Justice TPB. Does anyone know the story on these? I bought the first three sets I saw thinking they would be pretty scarce but they pop-up regularly.
  15. I would assume that anyone who had a problem with CGC wouldn't be hanging out here to read your question.
  16. I don't think anyone is saying he is wrong. I certainly am not. My point is that isn't the only way to go. Divad has a model he has developed over the last twenty years, as does Donut, as do many people. As a rule, you don't do something for multiple decades if it isn't working out for you.
