  1. I keep reading her name as, "Taint".
  2. I just went thru the entire 104 pages, most of it for a second time. I could have sworn I posted my room back in the day, but I see that I have not. My old room was sweet, but then we had a third child. Now, I'm in flux. I have a smaller room, but it ain't pretty. I'm still going to post it when I get a chance, but I am working on it as I type, and should have it up to snuff within a year or so. Bill- GREAT room! I have a few pulps I might can send your way, after seeing your collection! Awesome stuff.
  3. Kudos to Demeantia and AmazingSpidermanCompletist for fast and safe shipping! Many thanks, gentlemen.
  4. Still reading, still . Would love to see some more funny animal books. If not, keep up the science fiction covers!!!
  5. Bangzoom, anybody else, If I might ask an OT question- Are there trades/hardcovers of these wonderful Science Fiction GA books? I know the EC books have been reprinted, but what about these Planet and other sci-fi books? thanks in advance.
  6. The title and caption are so incongruous with the artwork on the cover. or maybe, my family is just a little vanilla.
  7. ditto. I was on another board where someone defended Chuck's role in buying the Church collection and when I explained he got them for a song, it fell on deaf ears. This guy was trying to make the point that when Chuck bought them, it was a real risk, because no one knew they would be valuable. Bangzoom listing a 1966 Con price list with an inflation calculator puts that lie to rest.
  8. Well, haven't they just been doing that in the Masterworks series? Here's what's out: All-Winners Vol. 1 All-Winners Vol. 2 Marvel Vol. 1 Marvel Vol. 2 Capt. America Vol. 1 Human Torch Vol. 1 Sub-Mariner Vol. 1 USA Vol. 1 plus the Atlas Heroes vol. 1 and I know these have been successful enough that more are planned, Sub-Mariner vol. 2 being the next to come out. woops. Colour me uninformed. Thanks!
  9. BZ, it doesn't seem like the value of your collection matters that much to me, and I have to say that that impresses me. You still seem, after all these years, to be in love with funny books. But I am curious, what would you say your collection is worth in financial terms? I've been thinking of a broad range (1-3 million), but was wondering if you've ever taken the time to do the math. OT- man, Marvel needs to archive reprint these old Timelys. I'd pay 50 bucks a pop for that stuff all day long. Damn you DC and your fat Time Warner backed pockets.
  10. I keep reading and ing. Every time I view this thread, the amount of overwhelms me. The money, the time, the expense, the love put into this collection. Simply, . Also, all the guys giving you on how to care for your collection- . I know they mean well, and they are technically right, but... for telling you how to care for this goldmine. This may sound like a , and I'm sure someone else out there is saying, , but thanks again for all the comics you have shared with the boards. I'm by the sheer creamy goodnes.
  11. whew. Caught up. BZ, if I may say, seeing those Walt Kelly Fantasy/Easter books was a sight to behold. Truly stunning. I got butterflies, just watching the screen and noting the rich colors and details. Thank you.
  12. I'm only on page 33 of the thread and just wanted to say, STUNNED. And also, that I wanted to be a part of this historical moment, in some small way.
