  1. Just got an email from CGC today stating the graders think my CBCS Fantastic Four #72 9.0 will receive a CGC 9.0 so I gave them the go ahead to proceed grading. I'm hoping that this is the case and that the book keeps the white pages designation from the original grading.
  2. I just did the online submission for my CBCS FF72 and was able to select the crossover service for the 50% promotion.
  3. Thanks for the thoughts on this book everyone. I'm thinking I will definitely get this book pressed to get rid of the slight spine roll and then have CGC grade it.
  4. Hi everyone, I've been after the Dell film adaptation of Dr Who and the Daleks for a long while now but it seems like most copies are really beat up and the very few graded copies are just out of my price range. I picked up this copy as it looks like a pretty solid book that I plan on getting graded by CGC. I'm wondering what grade everyone thinks this book might get. Some small spine creases, an indent between the R and W, tiny tear on LRC by the last S, and a very slight spine roll (only seen at an angle and you can see the cover has some gloss in one of the pics), and off-white to white pages. Could a press help this book? I just upgraded my account to paid and this will be my first submitted book.
  5. Thanks for the additional information. What's weird is that on Comic Connect they have CGC graded books with the Pennsylvania pedigree noted and the Pennsylvania Dutch sticker that my book has. I'm going to send my FF72 anyway as I would like all CGC books in my collection.
  6. I'm having an issue right now trying to cut and paste an image but if you go on Comic Connection and look up Pennsylvania Dutch Pedigree comics you will see a couple of CGC graded ones with the Pedigree and same sticker my book has.
  7. I just got an email from CGC that my book will be eligible for the crossover promotion as long as it is postmarked by Jan 31 so I may drop off my book at the Post Office tomorrow.
  8. I'm thinking of sending in a book before the deadline ends for the CGC free screening. I have a Fantastic Four 72 CBCS 9.0 with white pages and it is a Pennsylvania Dutch pedigree. As I see that there are also CGC graded books with the Pennsylvania Dutch pedigree, I'm assuming my book's pedigree would carry over to the CGC label?
  9. I just picked up a key book graded 9.0 by CGC for $100 - Marvel Feature #11 (first solo Thing, Thing vs Hulk issue, & origin of the Fantastic Four). Lots going on for this great issue and I think it will climb value wise in the future.
  10. Spidey Weekly #178 is still available - how about $25 shipped anywhere in the U.S.?
  11. Hi everyone, Just picked up a book I was after for many years so have to move these two books to help pay the bill. No HOS or probies. Payment by PayPal. First gets the book. Please ask any questions as no returns. 1. Fear #20 (1st solo Morbius). Just bought this one off the boards recently as a 9.2 and I believe it. I was going to get this slabbed but will have to get another copy down the road. Paid $45, will sell it for $40. SOLD 2. Spider-Man British Weekly #178 (1st Punisher in Britain). Bought this for $40 will sell for $25. Looks like a VG/Fine to me. NOW $25 SHIPPED Shipping is $5 each or buy both books and get Free Shipping!
  12. Awesome! Not looking to hijack your sales thread but just wanted to share this with a fellow Dio fan - the Mob Rules tour poster I had Dio and the rest of Heaven and Hell AKA Black Sabbath signed for me during their last NY tour before Dio's passing.
  13. Mob Rules - great album! Besides the title track, Turn Up the Night is another great tune, plus I am a huge Ronnie James Dio fan. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the books for sale :-)
  14. Hi everyone, I was wondering how many comic book covers lifted artwork from either film posters or the films themselves. Here is an example - the cover of Moon Knight #29 (1983) by Bill Sienkiewicz. Compare the cover to the poster art for The Beast Must Die (1974). I'm pretty sure the artist saw the film which was also about a werewolf.
  15. Thank you everyone for the comments. I'm leery of the unseen back cover condition and pages so I will be passing on this copy.
