  1. Interesting. I thought the "scuffing/scratching" on the bottom of the front cover was similar to the stains on the top and back cover. I wondered if it could be, like you suggested, distributer ink on multiple books and the books were stacked . Anyone care to suggest a grade?
  2. The cover looks great except for the stain at the top and bottom. It is also on the back cover. I'm not sure if it can be cleaned. Is this automatically a VG at best? Thanks in advance!
  3. You have a good eye. Sounds like some possible printing defects - would that effect the grade? How would the rust on the staples factor in? It was sold as a High Grade, but I didn't see the staples until after I bought it.
  4. No, the centerfold is clean. the staples inside are bright silver.
  5. The front cover looks great. There's some minor blunting in the upper left corner. The back cover has some dirt along the top edge, and some light foxing or dirt along the spine. My biggest concerns are the staples. Is that rust forming? Sorry I don't have a picture inside but the staples on the inside at the centerfold are pristine silver. If that is rust forming on the outside, is there anything I can do about it? What about a Grade? I've read a wide range of opinions when it comes to rust migration and how it effects a grade. Thanks in advance!
  6. I like hearing some of these 9.2's and 9.4's but don't the ragged cut pages and uneven miswrap hurt the grade? I know these are printing defects. Any other thoughts or opinions? And thanks for all the feedback!
  7. I just updated the photos. The first set were taken with the wrong filter and everything looked yellow. Regardless - the pages are a little tan
  8. The cover looks really nice and lays flat. There's some minor blunting on the lower left corner. But there's an odd miswrap. The inside pages are cut ragged, and everything lays a little off - especially noticeable at the top right corner. Any thoughts on a Grade? Thanks in advance! I just posted updated pictures. The previous set were shot with the wrong filter and they all looked yellow.
  9. Thanks for all the information! It is very helpful!!
  10. I agree, the shadows are tough to grade. I'm hoping get some other opinions and maybe get a consensus. Thanks for your feedback!
  11. This is a nice looking book. However - on the ride edge near the bottom the paper bows out slightly - it looks like a tiny little bump. The paper is flat, this is some sort of mis-cut from printing. Every page has this little extension. But my biggest question is about the sun shadow on the front and back covers. What does this do to the grade? Any thoughts as to how this book would grade without any cleaning? Could cleaning even remove the sun shadow? Thank you in advance!!
  12. I'd be interested in some opinions. The front and back covers have sun shadows (or is it dust shadows). The front cover also has some minor bends or little folds at the top corner and along the right edge. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!!
  13. The line on the back cover looks like a faint pencil or pen line, it is not a scratch. Oddly the book looks better in person then in my hi-res photos. I appreciate all this feedback!!
  14. I'm thinking of sending this in but I wanted to get some feedback first. How would you grade this? Cover looks really good. Some blunting/stress on the two top corners. My biggest question is the little green stain on the back cover near the top. It appears to be the same color as the cover. (Maybe something happened in printing or shipping when it was stack on other copes?? -just guessing). Also some dirt or foxing on the back cover? Could any of this be cleaned? Opinions appreciated! Thanks in advance!!
  15. Thanks for the detailed info! I really appreciate it!!
  16. Please grade this copy of Ghosts #1. Those are small tears at the bottom staple, and the lower right corner is bent. I also wonder about the printing creases on the front and back cover. How badly does a printing crease hurt the grade? Thanks in advance!
  17. Yes, that is a little spine roll. Thanks for the grades - that's about what I thought.
  18. This one has a few problems that are new to me. Overall the book looks pretty good but the staples are a little rusty and the rust appears to be on the paper too. On the Back Cover there is a little stain near the lower spine, but it is not rust from the staple. Not sure what it is. Also on the back, under the word "Be", there is a 3 inch scored line which looks like a cut - however it does not penetrate and cut through the cover. The cover is intact, it appears to be a light scoring. Any guesses as to a Grade? Thank you in advance!
  19. Thanks for the feedback. No rust on the staple - it must be the lighting. And that's a printing crease on the back cover. I might fish for some more feedback. I'm not sure yet if I want to submit. Thanks again!
  20. Please Grade Me. The cover looks great but it has some sort of stain at the top. The stain is on the front and back covers, and also on every page of the comic. Any thoughts as to a Grade? Does this drop it to Good? Thank you in advance!
  21. Any guesses as to a grade? The cover looks pretty good but it is completely detached from the comic. And the front cover is also detached from the back cover. I've read that comics in Good (2.0) can have detached covers but this is pretty extreme. Is it Fair? Poor? Are there any professional repairs that can be made - that are worth doing for this book? Thank you in advance.
  22. What grade would you give this issue of Justice League of America? The cover looks pretty good but it has a small divot in the center by Green Lantern's arm. It is not a hole - it doesn't go all the way through the cover. Thank you in advance!
