  1. Not planning on having this book slabbed, but I always loved this throwback cover and want a decent grade raw copy for my collection. I can't put my finger on how much the manufacturing defect I am curious about affects the overall grade. By Mary Marvel's skirt, and by the bottom of the lightning bolt it seems the black ink didn't cover the yellow underneath. It is very obvious. How much does this defect pul the grade down? Otherwise, there is a spine tic by the middle of the "C" in Captain Marvel Junior, and also some funkiness in the middle of the spine on the back of the book. I am more concerned on your opinions as to the color defect on the cover. Thanks!!
  2. What a nightmare. Hopefully they get to your books soon.
  3. Anyone have any miracle movement on books at CCS? Wondering what the "Received at CCS" date of books they are pressing now is for modern and value. This sucks. Thanks
  4. A definite favorite. But not exactly a Bronze or Silver age book…. More like a Brilver age book.
  5. That is too much. Were the books "Received at CCS" in April? Are the submissions still marked as "Received at CCS"? Hopefully, they have a heart and grade them quickly post-pressing. It's just not right that their priority isn't getting the oldest books out.
  6. Funky leg and all, this is one of my favorite all time covers. Iconic.
  7. Right on. I wouldn’t be surprised if Black Adam becomes the number one character for the next generation of superhero / comic fans this movie will create. The Rock draws in more movie goers than any other actor. Besides that the teasers look amazing.
  8. Ha! Love it. CNN, MSNBC, Variety, etc. all have published articles about the teaser. I really think this character is going to reach a huge audience and gain a ton of new fans worldwide with the Rock attached. I am psyched for this movie more than any other upcoming project from DC or from Marvel. Last time I was this excited was for the first X-Men movie.
  9. Kidding aside, it would be good practice to notify someone in your family of what to do with your collection should something happen to you. Something as simple as “bring my collection to XYZ auction house” could keep your heirs from getting completely ripped off.
  10. Lots of changing hierarchy and balance of power talk every time the Rock speaks of the character. My mind is all over the place wondering what is in store (in this movie and in the future). Very exciting.
  11. Looks absolutely incredible. This will be huge for DC.
  12. I have to ask just to put it into context... what lone book did you receive in place of yours?
  13. When does CCS charge the credit card on file? Also when does CGC charge the credit card on file? is it when the books are “received at CCS”? SFG at CGC? Etc. thanks
  14. I understand. Thank you. I am curious if the books will receive a "normal pressing" even though they were priced at the quick pressing tier, or will they receive a "quick press". (if there even is a difference at this point) Thanks.
  15. I understand Quick Press is no longer offered however I have a question. I submitted multiple books for Quick Press before you stopped offering that service. My package was opened AFTER Quick press was removed from your services (opened on May 3rd). Does this mean my books will receive a "normal" press as opposed to a "quick press" now? If not, and they will receive a "quick press", is this a lesser quality press? Thanks.
