  1. I believe the GL Fillion will be portraying is Alan Scott (JSA) and not Guy Gardner.
  2. Alexander Skarsgard is a great actor. He plays a really good sociopath. Would love to see him as Lex Luthor.
  3. I agree. Cringeworthy performance. Almost as bad as Jared Leto’s Joker.
  4. That would be amazing. Serious actors and an amazing writer and director. Looking good. Looking good.
  5. I think instead of speculating we should look at how well it worked for Black Adam. Spoiler alert: It didn't work. If it had, Cavill would still be our Superman.
  6. Which is precisely what Gunn said when he took over. He even joked that he was allowed to enter Bat-Mite into the cannon.
  7. Do you really think if those scenes weren't cut, the box office outcome would have changed much?
  8. its Superman. One of the most recognizable IP’s in the world. Couple that with the fact that it’s the first movie in a Universe reboot. Regardless of budget, if SL brings in a total of 500 million worldwide then I would be surprised to see WB pouring any more serious money into non Batman movies.
  9. https://ew.com/movies/james-gunn-says-too-many-superhero-movies-have-gotten-really-lazy/ “his note about sequels that fail to focus on "what makes this story stand apart from other stories" feels relevant to Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which mostly eschewed the superheroes-meet-Big energy of the first Shazam! film in favor of over-the-top violence and fantasy characters that had little connection to the character's comic-book source material. Third acts with no rhyme or reason? That could certainly apply to The Flash.” Gunn has some ideas about how to refresh the genre. One is to make fewer superhero movies and not "overextend" — although the new DC regime has already announced several projects, including Gunn's Superman: Legacy film. Another is to vary up the subgenres. "I like very serious superhero movies, and I like very comedic superhero movies," Gunn said. "I like ones that are a murder mystery but it's with superheroes. I like to see these different types of stories, as opposed to seeing the same story told over and over again."
  10. Thats a shame. Hopefully, they will send Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2 straight to MAX. I don't buy it for a second that Blue Beetle is the first DCU character. Thats just more hype. As a DC fan, I am putting all my eggs in the Gunn basket. I truly believe he will do these characters justice.
  11. I disagree. I believe If Superman Legacy makes 400 million on ANY budget, it’s safe to say DC movies are done. It will just become the Batverse.
  12. Because everything depends on Superman Legacy being a mega hit at the box office. If it isn't, I can't see much more $ being pumped into the Universe.
  13. 75? That's all you think Superman deserves?
  14. My entered into the CGC system on 5/2 FAST TRACK Economy Submission of 8 books remains in GEI purgatory. Would it be that much a hassle for someone at Encapsulation to put it to the top of the pile (along with other customer's FT books)? Such a blatant #$%* off to your customers CGC.
  15. It was a good movie. Greatest? No way. He took a page from the MCU playbook hyping it up.
  16. Sigh. The Gunniverse can't come soon enough. This mythology deserves better.
  17. I thought it was a really good movie. Better than most. You will enjoy it. I'm with you on Aquaman 2 and BB though. Kind of feels like flogging a dead horse.
  18. I'm starting to think Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2 should be released on Max. Granted I have no idea how these works logistically but if Flash ends up making Black Adam money, it may make more sense to preserve the brand until the DCU reboot.
  19. That CinemaScore makes absolutely no sense to me.
  20. Oh for &%#@‘s sake!!! Why oh why would I read though this when my books are stuck in GEI purgotary?
  21. I really really enjoyed it. Theatre (in downtown Manhattan) was packed and audience clapped at the end. Audience also clapped at seeing xxxxxxxxxxxx’s xxxxxxxxxx on the screen. Unexpectedly, Sasha Calle’s Supergirl was the standout for me. Loved this portrayal. Pure badassery. Ezra, as nutty as he is, can act. Great job. Keaton was a blast to watch but again Supergirl was my standout by far. CGI was fine, although my kids thought it was really bad. Side note: the audience seemed really excited during the Blue Beetle trailer? That was a bit of a head scratcher as it looked like garbage to me.
