  1. These investor groups are the what’s not good with hobby as most don’t give a about collecting or nostalgia . They want to make money flip and flip and flip driving prices into space . It’s not something I would ever do with a group as my money and investment is decided by the whole leaving me with zero influence on my investment .

If I buy stuff I want it in my hand I’ll use gold for example . Don’t sell me paper that states I own gold,  I want the bars please . Just like comics

    WTF is OTIS?

    And last I checked $145k <> $200k.

It’s all good I also wasn’t pushing the info I said I to was unconfirmed but OTIS is a site where you buy shares of grail books . That’s what they value 9.8 at they purchased as a team of investors whenever they bought it . Asking price is what’s listed but to sell the investor group votes on wether to dump their “ stock “

    145K good now ? 🍎

Then why not do a claim before the 180 days were up? That's what I would have done.

Because for the cost of the books you trust you’re not going to be ripped off. I never ever would let someone get away with this for big money but the point is it’s not one person he’s ripped off it’s a bunch of good members in hobby and community. Let’s not lose sight of that regardless of PayPal claims etc etc nobody should have to do that anyways if he was an honest seller .

I am very sorry to see how they have treated you guys and certainly hope you can get reimbursed. On 4-25-21, on eBay, I purchased 3- CGC 9.8 presale with release date of 5-5-21 and 1- CGC 9.8 presale release date of 6-2-21. Last night I sent hotshotcomics a message through eBay and received a response this morning. Not sure how to proceed at this point. I fully understand CGC grading time issues, but am not comfortable with the seller's business tactics. Am I still protected if I file claim with eBay and PayPal prior to 180 days if books not received?

With CGC, being graded. CGC takes around 4 months at the moment as per their website. You will be notified when the item ships thank you.

FWIW, I was very surprised that they had responded so quickly. Looking at their positive reviews as a seller for the last 6 months, there are many positive responses on (current) presale CGC books that were obviously never received. Not sure why one would leave positive responses on items not received. They were very nasty with anyone leaving a negative review. The customer is always right??? Also, why do you think they pulled all of their EBay listings?

Don’t forget all the people including myself that couldn’t leave feedback after 40 days . Believe me  the negative feedback  would be much longer list  . I trusted this person and they ripped me off . I couldn’t get a refund or leave feedback . I’d get your money back and run simply for the fact they don’t deserve the business

  5. I pre -ordered in Dec of last year for this exact book GUARANTEED 9.8 cgc blue from this same seller. He ghosted me for 6 months so I decided to bring him some attention on Instagram and cgc forum .

After all the name calling he did against me for asking for the book I paid for he sent me 9.6 as well.

This is a scumbag fraud . File your case ASAP don’t let him breathe. He will do everything he can to steal your money .

  6. I know of one here in Canada it’s 2.0. The guy wouldn’t consider parting ways how much he loves this book . He gets crazy offers all the time ( he turned down 10K Canadian )

Heres an honest question where do we see 3,4,5 printings of this book in future since 1&2 are almost gonzo for most ?

Agreed,  lower grade first prints sometimes carry a premium due to the lower, more "affordable "cost

I’m in this very situation with AF15 . I can’t afford anything above 2.0 so I wonder those who have money prob are looking at 6.0 or higher and 3.0-5.5 are in limbo due to high cost to most collectors and unappealing to those that have the income to buy nicer copies.

Tmnt 1 is def in this exact state . For 20K you’re  getting mid grade now correct ? A near mint minus  (9.0) is approaching 30k ouch!!! If my numbers are sorry I’m just getting a point across
