  1. Also a pic of some of the slab organizing and storage going on. Been a few days lots of organizing and re bagging going on as well….
  2. Didn’t buy it but found it cleaning out my older stuff from my parents house and organizing my collection… so happy to find these books I thought I lost as a kid!!!
  3. How do you find these things wow! It’s nice to be able to see a glimpse of the history of these books and to know about the people that owned them and enjoyed them before we did! may Jojon Rest In Peace
  4. Thanks saved me probably hours of watching to see what they found
  5. Congrats on that joker cover sketch that was the one book I liked the most!! Glad to see a fellow boardie win it!
  6. Looks like Mylar and backing board with a chip clip at top to close the bag…
  7. Did any more info surface about this situation or of what happened to the book..
  8. Hmmm… you’ve been on the forums long enough to not notice the same angry and elitist that pop up on the forums as well… probably not as bad as Facebook groups or Reddit but it’s still there slightly.
  9. Bad news for u they mentioned that Jim will get the signature offerings like Crain…
  10. Who called you a Walmart greeter we should shun them…
  11. I know most people are not happy with cgc and it’s been awhile since I submitted myself pandemic, QC issues at cgc, etc… but I think there’s nothing sneaky going on.. I think they are just trying to bring awareness to another form of buying and selling books that has a bit more legitimacy than Facebook market place or Kijiji style sort of selling/buying. They gave away free stuff and we got to see a stream where Jim and Alex talked about some of the books they gave away… I certainly enjoyed the show!
  12. Yeah I was watching the stream as well britany said at the beginning that cgc doesn’t not sell or buy comics, that they are a impartial 3rd party grading company. That the stream is just a give away which is pretty cool. some brownie points for cgc I guess to addressing some concerns we have and for giving away cool cgc SS books
  13. I would assume the same to probably sponsor or endorse certain sellers and try to connect with cgc communities
  14. Still really cool to see something from your past and to have the foresight to write to yourself in the future..to many of us live a lot on the past but younger versions of ourselves live in the present and hope for the future which is just as great as walking down memory lane…I’ve only come across small notes or doodles that I did way back then
  15. Yup there are good sellers on there a LCS also uses it to reach a wider audience. They do give aways contests etc…
  16. That sucks that they weren’t delivered but at least u remember having wrote them…
  17. This is interesting… I used whatnot a few times only bought off of one stream though which saved me a few bucks than buying from their actually website/online store… so it’s kind of like a fast auction… does certainly have a lot of cons as it’s confusing and have to read the shipping/tax fine print like buying other things in life of course… sometimes a little too much of a streamer pump and dump, but like all things in life if you look hard enough you can get some great deals.. bought some autographs off a fan expo sponsored stream;as it was a bid format and they switched it up to allow snipe bid formats as well… also won a signed comic book so I got lucky off of it… so I’ll see how it turns out Im interested to see who and what are they selling if they sell anything.?.?.
  18. I dunno the internet has brought nerds/geeks like us all closer together . But back to debating this would be more like a larger un condition focus group. With more real feedback as focus groups always have biases. I know first hand as I did a few focus groups for new food products with my friends and we all conditioned each other to always give positive reviews even if we didn’t like the food so we could be invited back when large companies come for free swag and better compensation.
  19. Lol of course u don’t build a empire off of social media likes and comments but it’s more of a tool/test group for helping to guide or nurture something.. it’s like a stick being used to help guide let’s say a plant. The plant doesn’t need a stick to for it to grow, but the stick offers support and guidance to help it grow better…not sure if that’s a good analogy… oh well it’s more like an assistive tool to use is what I was trying to ponder not a mission objective.
  20. You avoid catastrophe’s by making bad decisions that the community doesn’t like… umm Sonic might be a good example they changed the animation and it was much better… umm mob rule worked for Frankenstein they killed dr Frankenstein and chased the monster away… in their books sounds like a successful mob rule attack. haha .
  21. I actually like these kind of cons as it has a nice mixture of nerdy stuff to satisfy all my desires.. it’s nice to see other people enjoying this culture.. maybe I’m not old enough lol. Although I do like and still do a lot of my comic shopping/bidding online from my couch… but there’s just an excitement you feel and energy you get going to a larger con with tons of other stuff to see. Maybe I’m not old enough to complain yet haha just kidding… but com’ on fudge… like fudge who doesn’t like some sweet sugar rush creamy goodness while running around the convention… *** note has to have some maple syrup.. got to keep it Canadian.. eh!!!
  22. I wonder wouldn’t it be a great research strategy/market strategy to create rumours with random unofficial accounts to judge public sentiment for ideas/shows/movies without facing any serious back lash from the public. I mean it’s a great way to test public sentiment about future projects to green light..
  23. That’s awesome always cool to read things like these. Makes me want to write a note to future me.
