  1. Here are additional images showing interior of the book.
  2. Thank you for your help grading this book. Very white pages. Edge chip (Marvel chip?) on back cover. Do you think a press will clear up the back spine & corner dents?
  3. Thank you. I am still learning about GCG labels. I understand the Blue label is preferred. Is there a way to ask for a Blue label or does a book made with only one staple automatically get a Green Qualified label? Either way there is no impact on grade? How about market value? Here are pictures of the staple areas exterior & interior.
  4. I have several silver age books with the original owners signature neatly written in pen on the interior page. Otherwise they look like better grade books perhaps in the 8.0 - 9.0 range. How much does this writing reduce the grade of the book?
  5. Hello and thank you in advance for any comments and suggestions. There is a name and date neatly written in pen on the 1st interior page. And the book looks like it was made with only one staple. I am wondering if these 2 issues together take the book to a lower grade than if they were not present? Also what is the grade of the book as it stands?
  6. An on-line database that updates values seems to be a good way to keep track of a collection. What are the concerns for a collector using an on-line database to manage a collection?
  7. Hello - I tried to search for general information on this topic but did not find anything. I am looking for general information and discussion from collectors of Non-Sports Trading Cards from the 1960's era such as Batman, Marvel, Outer Limits, Lost In Space, etc. - Does CGC grade these types of cards? If not, is there a company with best reputation in the industry and among collectors that does this? - Is there a forum somewhere to get opinion's on the grade of a card? - Or a marketplace for selling/ buying these type of cards? Thank you.
  8. Thank you. Yes, A ticking time bomb for sure. Does it help stop migration if I can scrape the rust off the staples? It looks like there's puffy pieces of rust that can be scraped off the staples.
  9. Thank you for your reply. BRF = bottom right front on the blue rocks? That is a white spot on the cover. Flat, even edge of the book there. No pieces missing anywhere I can see.
  10. Hello, Thanks for your help. There's a spine tic at the bottom staple and tear at bottom edge. Is "gripper tear" the correct term to describe the rip at the bottom of this comic? If so, it is my understanding this is considered a production flaw and is not counted very harshly toward the grade, but only up to a certain point? The severity of this tear looks significant. How much does that affect the grade on this book?
  11. Thank you for all the great advice & input!
  12. Thank you! If the book were flat, it would improve it's appearance. But would that improve the grade? Certainly not worth a press. Maybe I should stack some hardbound books on top?
  13. Thank you - Looks like about 2" spine tear. It sure needs to be flattened out somehow...
  14. Thank you in advance. Subscription crease, edge chips and more....
  15. Hello and thank you for your help grading this ASM #569. Will pressing remove this wrinkle? Is there a more accurate term to describe this defect? Thank you.
