  1. this one too Love this cover...always have. I have the Northford copy of Spellbound 21, which is where it was originally printed. I am glad it could get some more love in the 1970's.
  2. Jingle Bam! Thanks for the "Noel" reference. It made me smile as I am a huge Prep and Landing fan. (thumbs u
  3. Jingle Bam! There are a few books that I classify as "stunning" when found in high grade. This is one of them. WIth a totally awesome date stamp. Thank you everyone. I sold all of my Atomic Knights SA books....but something wouldn't let me get rid of this one. It was just too nice to look at....and I am rather partial to the date stamp as well.
  4. Thank you Marc. Happy New Year to you my friend.
  5. Thanks everyone. I appreciate the kind words about my funny books.
  6. Jay.....good to see you on here pal. Here are a few new ones.
  7. It pertains to a commission that I wanted. We are discussing commissions from artists in this thread correct? Therefore I thought it might be a little interesting that an artist who is creating art for sale wanted nothing to do with creating a piece for me. I thought my idea was a really good one, but by his response I am guessing we did not share the same sentiment. Does this explanation suffice?
  8. Here is a small tale, not really important, but slightly interesting. There is a certain artist, who I WILL NOT mention (he would know who posted this), that I made a contact with through Facebook awhile back. We added each other as friends which allowed me to keep track of his work. He will post images of his current project, in various stages, and give us "followers/friends" the chance to purchase the piece. Of course the price increases the closer it gets to full render. With that said, these pieces were not sold before they were began. A few weeks ago I decided to approach him with an idea for a piece. He asked me to email him the details, which I did. No response. A few follow up messages later, still no response. Finally received a reply stating that he was not able to do anything at this time. It was a two line response to my in depth idea for the piece. I was a potential paying customer, but I guess he would rather create pieces with the hopes that they sell than take on my "sure thing". I guess he did not like my idea. I am sorry for playing this one close to the chest, but this was more of an observation than a condemnation, and I don't want to cause the artist in question any ill will. It is Christmas after all.
  9. Weird Tales of the Future #2 Holy Krap what a beautiful book. I need to get a drool cup. sartre, this is one of the nicest books I have ever seen on the boards. Uber congrats.
  10. I was able to find 9 more regular scans and upload them. I think a nice used scanner off of eBay is in the cards now.
  11. Thank you. The four scans that I uploaded were ones that I saved from the various places where they were picked up. I have some more full sized scans that I have saved on my hard drive....I just have to find them. The scanner that I have used for years is not big enough to do the entire slab, so I have tons of images where I would scan the top part of the slab, and then scan the book again, this time cropping out the label and increasing the size of the book. Not the cleanest look, but was the only option I had. I have considered using my camera to take some nice pics of the entire slab as I really don't need another scanner, but I definitely want to participate on your site.
  12. You have done a really nice job with this. I would love to participate, but I would need to invest in a new scanner that will accomodate the complete slab. Your site gives me something to shoot for.
