  1. I've always been happy with 9.4 for BA. But then again what do I know, I still pick vlita Angelo 9.4 Scott
  2. Thanks Sterling......it is Guy's old copy. Scott
  3. Highest graded copy, and my one of my favorite BA horror covers. Cardy was the DC horror man. Scott
  4. Definitely has the possibility of becoming a habit.....but I have to prioritize. However, something will catch my eye from time to time....like the ToT 4. Have a few more nice pre-codes to put up in the next little bit. Scott
  5. Thanks alot Angelo....I appreciate your kind words....and i know you love the King too. Got this one today too from a friend of mine. One of my favorite Bronze horror covers and the highest graded copy. Unexpected 117 in 9.4 with white pages. Scott
  6. Got this one in today....just added it to my thread and thought "what the heck". So here it is again. New Gods 9 in 9.6, white pages and the highest graded copy. Scott
  7. Tomb of Terror 4 with an Overstreet noted "heart ripped out story". Scott
  8. It is hard to beat a Gene Colan Daredevil in my opinion. I love Frank Miller as much as anybody, but Colan's DD will always be the essential version to me. Very nice copy. Scott
  9. I have to agree. I have loved all of the beautiful GA scans, but I think this is the pic that has impressed me the most. I am speechless. Simply wonderful. Scott
  10. Now that is a nice looking Showcase. Congrats on this sweet find. Scott
  11. Posted this one in my thread too. Hope you guys will check out the link if you have never read it before. This next book is truly special to me. It contains my all-time favorite story. It is "Master Race" by Bernie Krigstein. This was the start of EC's New Direction books and this one was issued without Code approval. Below I have added a link to a website that has posted the story. Simply click on the page once you are done and it will take you to the next. Comics can be a work of high art and this story proves it. Krigstein was a master and a cinematic storyteller of such talent that it would be hard to find a work of comic art that tops this in my opinion. Scott Link to the story: http://es.geocities.com/thegweb/berniekrigstein1.html If you have never read it before, let me know what you think. Scott
  12. Thanks alot Angelo.....here are a couple more too. I posted these in my thread but wanted to post them here too. Adventures into the Unknown 27 and the second copy I have purchased this year after looking for one for years. This copy presents much nicer than the previous one I posted but I would only grade it about a point and a half higher due to wear on the back. A sharp looking copy nevertheless and once again has the really nice Al Williamson/Roy Krenkel story that the GCDB credits to Frank Frazetta on the pencils. I have to say I agree and think Fritz did the pencils, Al the inks and Roy the backgrounds. I love this pre-code horror cover alot. Scott
  13. I love this book Sid......a great looking 9.0. Old Doom Patrols are some of my favorite reads. Congrats man. Scott Thats Sal, not Sid Yep...my face is red on that one. I went back and edited my shameless error. Scott
  14. I love this book SAL......a great looking 9.0. Old Doom Patrols are some of my favorite reads. Congrats man. Scott
  15. I love Harvey Pre-Code and hope the prices stay reasonable for awhile. Doesn't bother me in the least that they are a little more affordable. Here is a recent pick-up, Tomb of Terror 2. Scott
  16. Love Harvey Pre-Code Horror. Tomb of Terror 2. Scott
  17. Hey October.....is your avatar Toshiro Mifune from Kurosawa's Yojimbo? I think I recognize the chin rub that Mifune did repeatedly in that film. I love Kurosawa by the way. Scott
  18. I knew I would forget someone. Thanks to topofthetotem for buying my House of Secrets 100. Been away from the boards too long. S
  19. I want to thank all of the following people who purchased books from me during my last sale. Sorry for the belated thanks, but I have been recovering from surgery and am just now getting back up to speed. Things like that will definitely make you look at your life in a different way.
