  1. Only Morrison's 1-26, in my opinion. I hunted down singles to finish the rest of the run, and it wasn't worth the effort. Robinson's Starman was class from start to finish.
  2. You should have explained to him that people "put these comics like this" because they don't want them damaged. Creators aren't going to understand this until consumers are willing to speak up. Does anyone think an editor just puts up with it when a page doesn't look the way they want it..? Not hardly. They tell Neal "this doesn't work, I'm paying you, please do it over." You also should have asked for your money back for that book, but I know that's a very tall order for most.
  3. He's charging more than his signature is worth. He should be thrilled to do whatever you want. He won't be, because he's Neal, but you're still the customer. Don't be intimidated. We ought to stop treating creators like gods, especially when we're paying their asking prices for a service rendered. At that point, they're working for us. Tall request, sure, but still worth mentioning.
  4. There is an entire market of ebayers that ignore BIN listings
  5. Yes, and complaining about paying $12 to ship a slab...? Sigh.
  6. What parts of the country do they live/drive in? How many years with the company? What kind of hours per work week are they putting in?

  8. Agree with you rma. However, I do understand if he ended the auction early if he needed cash asap.
  9. Welcome to the boards. Go ahead and introduce yourself then hop in the hot tub we call CGC
  10. Paging MrBedrock... I hate it when he posts his Central Valley copy. Should've bought the damn thing from Brian when he was displaying it raw at SDCC. If you remember, he never quoted a price at that show because.... I already had it on hold
  11. There's a level of hucksterism here these days that wasn't so apparent in the earlier years You're only in 4 years longer than me and I've seen it since day one. We've always had people who will say things like " looks 9.6" ( when it's a 9.4 ) or " this is the nicest 8.0 you will ever see" or "press this to a 9.8". It is what it is Maybe you're right but it seemed different back then. Sure it still happened but not to the extent that it does today. There do seem to be a lot more people here just for the sale.
