  1. Take the ball and run with it. Better writers than I have already done it.
  2. Brilliant! But wouldn't that require us living together...? That'd be creepy. I haven't lived with another man since college.
  3. I find it immensely fascinating that Shelly and I inhabited the same area for years...could even have been in the same room, at the same time...and never known it. Someone should write a sci-fi story about that....
  4. Many copies of the book have a "ragged" right edge from poor cutting. CGC doesn't discount for this, (generally), so that's not really the issue. The main problem is the combination of the paper and ink used. It happens to be a combination that attracts and magnifies oils, so finger oils are nearly impossible to remove when they're on, even if wiped. As well...the black back cover ad shows everything. This is not a case of "black covers being rare in high grade", because that is a myth. The reality is black (and dark) solid colors SHOW wear far more readily than busy artwork, or solid white/lighter areas. The back cover, much like #301, is simply unforgiving. Same with #298 as well, by the way.
  5. He SCRAPED THE SPINE ON THE TABLE. I couldn't handle it after the TOS #91.
  6. That's one place I stay the hell away from. What was that radio ad.. "Dublin, Berkeley, San Lorenzo, Cupertino, San Jose." Now THAT takes me back. I haven't thought of Denevi Camera in probably 25 years. Sadly, what I really want to see is long gone. There used to be a field at Mission College, across from Great America, where we used to practice. I drove by maybe 10 years ago, and it was all condos. Very sad. You could stop on by SCV HQ on Space Park Drive and take pics. Haven't been THERE since 1992.
  7. When you get up to Dublin, let me know. Hometown love.
  8. Cool Books That hasn't been registered yet...?
  9. Plant a tree....for your tomorrow... It's your tree that clears the air....
  10. Maybe. When did it open? I haven't been in the area shopping for comics since at least 1996. There were there forever. Ken also sold at the San Jose Flea Market on the weekends. That store, and the one in the Village Green Shopping Center off Calabazas (can't remember the name) were the only LCS's within walking distance from where I grew up. Quite the hangout after school. Wait...they had comic stores in the 1800's....? But yes, I probably still have books I bought at K&Js on El Camino, if it's the store I'm thinking of. I didn't spend *too* much time in the South Bay, as it was a bit of a hike.
  11. Oh, and I'm selling an Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 9.6. Asking price is $5,000,000. Payment required upfront, but delivery may not be for a few months.
  12. Maybe. When did it open? I haven't been in the area shopping for comics since at least 1996.
  13. I love seeing pictures of places I used to hang out in. By the way...my Santa Cruz brand strawberry lemonade proudly displays that it is "gluten free." No, really. Soon, you'll be seeing bottles of water that proclaim they are "gluten free." People are so stupid.
  14. Did he pepper spray you while you were smelling him?
  15. I haven't seen that storefront in almost 20 years. Wow. Takes me back.
  16. Remember when you could watch everything on TV without having to buy some special service...?
  17. She's REALLY cute. I like the one on the left. But she needs to cover up more so she doesn't look so stripper/hookerish. The one on the right isn't in "the best" shape, and that's what I love. She's curvy, which is awesome. Plus, she's got that America Ferrera look to her, which I love. Actually, Michelle Rodriguez has that look, too, and I had a big crush on her when she was on Lost. LOVE her. I love small, slightly upturned noses, and the kind of mouth/lip shape that a lot of Hispanic women seem to have...can't describe it exactly, but it's like an inset in the face..that girl has it. Ca-YOOT.
  18. My imaginary reputation doesn't need defending. You have achieved Level 2! Don't look now, but there's a bat hovering right above your helmet....
