You were closest candygramformongo . It was advertised as 8.0, but when I got it I thought 7.0 to 7.5
Yeah, 8.0 seems a tad optimistic for sure. I think 7.0/7.5 is the right range

I'm just a tad higher at 4.0

Oh interesting. I would not tend to grade down significantly on that at all. Would be really interested in what others think. Paging @grendelbo or @Funnybooks - would you be kind enough to weigh in, would really like to hear your educated guesses on how CGC views this.

But I thought you were The Answer?!

I'm also curious to hear what CGC usually does with smaller chips out of books. I had this at 6.0. But would love some education - anybody have slabbed books with chips missing? Any insight on how much lower they graded based on that? And/or the highest grade on a chipped book you've seen? Would really like to learn more about how CGC considers this defect.

Agree FC looks great but I was marking off more for the back cover - looked like dirt (hopefully not water damage??) and maybe some wavies/ripples and then I can't tell if those are the staples or indentations from another book? I could be seeing it totally wrong but I'm at a 6.5 just bc of all the BC stuff.

I'm having a hard time telling how good or bad that spine is. If it's kind of rolled I think 8.5. If it's pretty flat I'd say 9.0. Thanks for posting it!

Oh interesting, I actually think it's a 7.5 as is. I agree pressing would help those spots and that a C/P gets you to an 8.0....maybe even 8.5?? (But maybe ignore me, I'm the eternal optimist around here and already predicted a 9.8 on a book this week so I'm clearly not the brightest crayon in the box)

7.5/8.0
My @grendelbo - 0.5 streak is broken

7.5
Apparently every grade I give today will be exactly 0.5 below @grendelbo

6.5 with that tear for me
-
That front cover is an 8.0 to me all day long BUT the back is really dirty, brings it down to a 7.5 or even 7.0. If you're considering a c/p I'd say definitely do it, I think 8.0 is realistic if c/p'd
-
Yeah, I agree with @grendelbo - I have this at 6.5. You might actually consider editing your title to take out what the seller is advertising the book as. Would be interesting to see what others think the grade is without a starting point.

Yep 6.0 here too

That spine looks rolled so I'm going 8.0. But I think a press would really help this one

Interesting thought the pics prob don’t exact show but thought this was similar quality to A maybe better because of the bottom left corner. I welcome any further insight for your answer.
Thanks
Back cover along the spine looks rough to me (both bends and dirt) and the top front corner has what looks like a stain around the word "THE". Bottom left of FC looks kind of crimped too. Hope that helps.

sent this in to CGC as well so yet another we'll be able to compare.
Did you submit for C/P too or no?

Ok @Bayowolf, you've got me on the edge of my seat, what was it advertised at??
-
Are those staple marks on the BC the original staples that are just way off the spine?

Not trying to be a pain in the but any chance we can get pics outside of the bag? I find it really tough to grade through it
