  1. Since Marvel only gave us a small taste of Pussycat and left some of us wanting more, with the help of a few others I was able to track down all 66 episodes of her adventures. Then I took it upon myself to remedy one of history's great wrongs and create not only a hardcover collection of said tales, but a TPB I can take on the road when needed! Someday Marvel will come to their senses and make my girl legit, but until then, this works just fine! Viva Pussycat!!! (sorry for the crappy webcam pix.......you work with what you got!)
  2. 1963 ....and it was a sequel. A Stan Lee joint.....Martin Goodman publisher......
  3. There were 2 issues of WWH and I keep mine with my UG!
  4. Fun And Games was created with leftover material when Help! folded. There are also variations on both Help! paperbacks as both were revised between their respective two printings.
  5. As an 11year old who bought NL off the rack starting in 1972 and then had subscriptions from 1978-1984 or so...it was never hard to obtain a copy. Clerks could have cared less as long as you ponied up your 75 cents plus tax per issue and more for the specials....
  6. It's possible, but I think Kennedy is still regarded as the key reference even though it has flaws that keep getting passed down. The publishers are quite different for both books.
  7. I love Lee Marvin, especially as 'Walker' aka 'Parker' in Point Blank (1967), which that cover appears to allude to.....but I've never been much of a Kane fan except for his run on Spider-Man around the issue 100 mark..... probably more because that's when I first started paying for funnybooks myself and issues 96-102 were my entry into the curious world of Marvel ala Mr. Kane! But hey, I'm always on the outside when it comes to sizing up a beloved creator....so there's that!
  8. The Kennedy guide makes the claim that the first was 'believed' to have a 50 cent cover price. 'Believed' being the operative word....and it looks like GCD is a believer! It's a snipe hunt, to be sure, and the 75 cent copy is indeed the first. I bought it when it originally came out, and it was 75 cents. pay no attention to that GCD. Later printings have a $1.00 price.
  9. I wrote Zwirner Books with the same question, and whether like Art And Beauty there was to be a S/L ed., and here is what their rep wrote back: Thanks for your email. The book is somewhat co-published between David Zwirner Books and Scratch Books. It is all the same edition. At this time, there is no plan to publish a limited edition. Glad to hear you like the book! Hope it makes a welcome addition to your library. Best, Molly
  10. I have multiple copies of the 10/74 issue, but my others are in mag boxes in a closet I can't get to without some effort. I know I've read that OSU letter....or maybe it was part of a series... because I'm from Columbus and I know as a kid reading the issue, I was struck by that. I'm thinking I have at least one copy of the variant issue in my stash, and now need to find it! Thanks for contributing to my OCD!
  11. I hate to disagree but I believe you are incorrect sir. My page 84 (not numbered, but 83 is on the other side with more from the Adelphian Lodge story, and page 85, directly across is the beginning of the color Trots and Bonnie story) is a full page ad for Yes Art News. I'm now wondering if that issue had multiple printings and yours is a corrected later printing. I have a complete run of 1974, in NL binder I am currently holding in my hands. No place in my issue for 10/74 has the paragraph you reprinted above. But my 12/74 issues has the note about 10/74 as you printed. A mystery!!!!
