  1. guess I will keep the thread going with more hand-me-downs from 4GEM
  2. I wonder how the poll would look if it was started mow. I wqs 50 when this started and 61 now
  3. 3-D's are another collection genre of mine. I have most of the ones from the 50's and 60's. I also have close to 100 of the modern ones. With all of the scanning I still have to do I only have a few of my 3-D's scanned.
  4. a few more of the Four Color Books I have acquired via trading in the last year. These are from 4GEM
  5. congrats on the FC#3 FIRST SERIES. cant wait to see it. I feel fortunate to have been able to trade for mine with MYCOMICSHOP. finally making a dent in my backlog of comics organization and I have the most recent set of Glen's undercopies .processed. Hope you find some more undercopies for our next transaction. Many of these seconds are still among the nicest FC's im my collection.
  6. I also am an overall fan of MCS. I have done several large trades with them and I believe that they are my number 3 trading partner in terms of trying to TRADE for every Four Color Comic. AS long as you accept that they are VERY hard on grading on the buy side, the transactions will go very smoothly. I am also a partner with them and hope that someone will go look at their site and place a first time order through my link below. If you do I will send you free comics . Here is one of the key books from my first transaction with them. And a later fun book
  7. I enjoyed seeing the Legion flight ring at the fortress of solitude.
  8. Great books as always glenn. Nice to see the missing four colors. Grear research on those. I closed out 2015 with a flurry of deals including ours I am ending the year over 1030.
  9. They had been trying to sell the store for years. A friend of mine had almost purchased it, but backed off when they lost their lease
  10. I think that they were all Batman. at least a dozen on display, mostly locked in a display case. I must admit since I ma not in the market for either title I did not really study the books
  11. Just stopped by Blastoff comics the other day. My wife and I were right by there and I sorta dragged her in. We both commented how the store was the cleanest and least cluttered store we had ever been into. It appeared that the woman at the store was the owner and was very knowledgeable and nice. Best selection of Golden Age Batman I have ever seen in a local store.
  12. and a few more. I am getting quite a backlog of books to upload and then post. I scanned over 100 Silver Actions over the holiday weekend As I have over 1000 books in a few different folders on photobucket ( free) version It I getting harder and harder to quickly locate the image I want. Is there any easy way to jump several pages, or to a specific page
  13. Haven't got them scanned yet, but got in a box of 30 from Mycomicshop last month. and another 30 will be here next week. ! from the first batch is a first series Got a Nice Shipment in from 4Gem last week. Did some trades at the Granada Hills Comic Con a few weeks ago so a few more from there. Have a couple of other trades in work with other boardies for at least a dozen each. IU will easily smash through the 1000 book mark prior to the end of 2015, and well on my way to 1100 books for 2016.
  14. Congrats on picking up the grail of the LSH. I finally got around to uploading the remainder of the ADVENTURES I HAD SCANNED. Here are a few of the Post-LSH, starring that interloper cousin
  15. Ok, not sure if anyone else noticed it, but why is the secret lair "The Actuaries Room"? Being an actual actuary I certainly noticed this, but could not figure out why there would be an actuary at media outlet. Most actuaries work in Insurance, either Life, Health, or property/casualty. Many of us , myself included, work in Pension plans. The mathematical and finance training can be useful in many areas like gambling, but still have trouble figuring out what use in CatCo. Of course even if there was one used why would the office be way out of the way , and when the last occupant left why were they not replaced? Sorry, just had to pose the question
  16. SO what was in the show that you thought was not appropriate for your daughter? How old is daughter anyway? This show seems far more presentable to a child than any of the other Super Hero shows currently available
  17. bumping this thread again And ending with the first comic I ever purchased off the spinner rack along with a couple of others. A very well read book that kept me company on a road trip from Omaha to California and back
  18. Finally finished uploading scans of my Adventures, which are almost all LSH Not sure where to post these between the two threads, so I think I will split them
  19. Great list, but u forgot Jay garrick. And an epic flash of two worlds scene. Not to mention wally west and the cosmic treadmill
  20. I enjoyed it very much. My wife even watched most of it, but my daughter was not interested. I really enjoyed the Cameos by Dean and Helen. too bad they are only scheduled for the one episode. i had to stop the DVR and go back to show her Dean. While he looks OK, he really has not aged well. I also got choked up a bit when Kara's first public act was to save a plane. I certainly remembered that at least in one iteration Kal's first public act was the same. I even commented that to my wife at the time, several minutes prior to Jimmy making the same observation. . Speaking of Jimmy, I was not thrilled with the choice. How can he not be a REDHEAD? And a 6'3" Model? Jimmy was lucky to have a date
