How do you think I will do? Most of these I purchased off ebay in the early days. The CGC ones are in old labels and purchased graded. The PGX ones I had graded in 2005 while I just had the CBCS ones graded last year I think this is the raw 247. When I started buying comics they were only 12 cents. I learned my 12x multiplication tables by buying comics.

As I got to over one thousand issues I started being more picky in grades. Unless the book is in the first 200 issues I try ot to add it if the book is less than F- Books that are very first 25 either series I am happy to have most any copy of, but now upgradingable includes anything below VG I started making two want lists one for actual missing and the other for Upgrade. Now the lists are built into my master spreadsheet and I can sort for books under any grade for adjusting the upgrade list I could easily fill half of my missing books from the online inventory of MCS, but most of those would just jump from want to upgrade Here are two of the recent books from MCS. one was from an auction and the other was in inventory A pair of 18's must be good luck

In the beginning I would take almost anything just in trade. And my beginning 70+ were all in low grde so I have many easy upgrades. These are the passing on copies of the books posted above. The Left hand Gun has really bad damage at the lower right

An employee there is a pretty good grader and I think we both had fun looking through the pages of these dups. I am keeping the Bedrock copy from an earlier post as well as these two I will post the undercopies for comparison later. I think brings up my box to over 50 issues that I have upgraded since i sent a box along with another dozen long boxes to MCS for a trade several years ago

Finally was able to physically sort in the additions during the last three years. I added 65 books, 18 graded and 47 raw, but mostly higher ( for me) grade. Many of the Graded books were intended to be significant upgrades, but one ended up being a slight downgrade ( from MCS 6.0 to CGC 5.5) which do I keep?

I bought so much stuff on eBay in the early days I remember the COmics chatboard from there was fun until they closed it down and many migrated here I was mostly a SA collector then and there were discussions of finding mislabeled gems like a "Justice League 28-30 "or a "Green Lantern 22-24 " at incredible bargains. After completing most of my SA holes I started on GA I got this one (restored) from TheBigLou AKA the Dentist

I think I was one of the customers who helped bring about the change in the shipping policy I would occasionally win an auction and we would have numerous back and forth emails about me wanting them to hold the book until they put some of the books I had on my want list on their 5% off sale. I always try to spread out the shipping costs over a bigger lot of books. Glad we do not have to have that issue anymore.

I used to buy collections and pull what I wanted and organized the rest for the occasional shows I did. This was back in the 90s. When time and opportunity presented i would go through upgrade my main collections. I rarely kept multiples intentionally but still have a ton of stuff that I have not sold or especially traded off since 2000. Only thing I ever kept both of were some marvel where i had both newsstand as well as direct boxes. I received an email from CGC about the situation. From what I understand I have to log into registry to decline the transfer within three days, or it just will happen. i attempted to do so, but the website says that is ONLY A FEATURE FOR PAID MEMBERS. So anyone can steal ownership of a book for registry, and other purposes if I am not a paid member? WTF? So i can no longer post a full scan of any book to avoid giving info about the exact number matching up to a book?

most of the time I am pretty good about ONLY upgrading low grade copies. Occasionally I pick up A high grade copy, assuming that my copy must be lower Occasionally I have a hard time deciding on which copy to keep The first book is my existing copy, and the 2nd is a 7.5 copy from Bedrock. Which would you keep?

Whenever I won an auction from MCS I would try to expand the withsome of the missing Four colors including those recently posted. Working on my 4th comic closet. just moved all my four colors together and easily accessible. 6 Old Bill Cole Gray acid free boxes . I am still using them 30 years later. Each hold about 75 golden age books 4 long drawer boxes, each holds about 200 books 1 Magazine drawer box holding only Slabbed Four Colors. I have another Magazine box, full of the additions I am now processing. half of the space with more CGCs and the other 1/2 with nice raw books. Last time I organized to make space and easier access I starting pulling books that I knew I want to upgrade. I only got 1/2 way through the series and had already filled a short box with upgrade candidates. For some reason every scan I try to upload is now failing The post failed. Then I reload I was able to add images These were all upgrades from Kermits pad
