  1. I always use the websites grading scale to get an idea of the grade. Just not sure when a moderate defect becomes a major one. I guess a definition of small defect would also help. I really had no idea how to gauge the detached centerfold.
  2. I for sure felt a great disturbance in the force once I submitted my guesses. Bring back the silverfish.
  3. I honestly had to Google silverfish cuz I had no idea what it was. Just when you think you've seen every defect this contest throws you a curve ball. I imagine next round will show a book with damage from a bow and arrow with part of the arrow still stuck in the book.
  4. The deadline needs to come already so that we can talk about fight club.
  5. It looks like one of the plastic shards since you do see a shadow but it also looks like it has scratched the book as it was moving around.
  6. Book was just graded a few weeks ago. Seller did include the Resto notes in the sale. Probably didn't want to deal with sending it back again.
  7. I was kinda curious so I looked up Weird Worlds #24 on ebay to see what's on that inside of the back cover. Figured maybe there there's a pattern. There is a cut out coupon to send in if you want to get an at home job in radio - television. Could be the original owner sent in lots of those early ads.
  8. I wouldn't say my comment was mean spirited or stupid. Regardless of what the outcome was I still feel it was too soon to being going all ballistic and using the "never again" language. As mentioned many of us have been thru way more than 1 hiccup. I.E. if you read the boards you'll find people having waited weeks and months to resolve an issue.
  9. You are whining to a group of people that have delt with so many problems that it seems ridiculous to even mention it. Most of us have weathered TATs that were close to a year at one time. We've had ungodly amounts of Newton rings on our cases. Not to mention misspellings, comic put in case backwards, Spider-Man book with X-men label, shards of plastic found in case.... OMG I could go on forever. But we have been patient and endured the hard times because we appreciate the hobby. Now you come here and complain about a few measly days, get an explanation from the company, but are still POd. There should be a whole thread full of kleenex from this point because you get no sympathy. Good day.
  10. You wouldn't think that 1 extra photo would be that big of a deal. If I'm selling a $100 dollar book on ebay I'm providing 6 - 10 pics of everything I can think of. Yet books going for 5K or more can't give you 2? What am I missing?
  11. How do you view the back cover on Clink?
  12. I think its safe to say any information on any label could be incorrect. That includes date, title, issue number, variant, ect..... and last but not least....... the grade given. Someone meant to enter 5.0 on that SA key but accidentally put 7.0
  13. I'm not feeling too well right now since my books are in QC. Which some say doesn't exist.
  14. I emailed a question last week and they responded in about 3 days. You may do better if you just call them.
  15. Just going by the info given. They only list those 16 names. Team leaders aren't mentioned.
  16. Just to be sure, does high grade mean you assigned the grade while you were high?
