  1. I guess the question would be... when does a moderate defect become a major?
  2. Not sure I wanna see the current standings but is this where it'll be posted once it's all figured out?
  3. So it's 1 point for every incremental grade? I had IH 5 @ 1.8 so that's 1 point correct?
  4. D Strawberry Shortcake as it still climbing and has not ease up a bit.
  5. Yes. I don't believe shortcuts in one area improve how a company functions in the long run.
  6. Isn't conversing with me wasting your time? All I want is for every customer to get the same thing. For everything. Period. If you don't feel that's fair then let me know and I won't waste any more of your time.
  7. Some people get grader notes on their slabs, some don't. . Search random books on ebay. Some will have notes, some will not. Maybe you can tell us why that is.
  8. The company exists for the sole purpose of telling people what grade their book is in so yes I expect them to tell me how they came to that grade. They do it for some people. Why not everyone? Are some graders less qualified? Maybe less sure of the grade assigned? I find it hard to believe people are still standing up for this company concerning missing notes. Been reading these boards forever and as long as they have existed..... people have been coming here asking why their book has no notes but others do. I stand by my opinion. Give them to everybody or give them to no one.
  9. Why do they include extensive descriptions of books that have a green qualified label or a purple restored label? Why not just say hey your book has a qualified grade. Guy grading didn't include why. Or here's your book it had restoration but again grader didn't say why so enjoy your purple label. It's not their job to teach you how to understand qualified or restored grades anyways.
  10. I don't care what they are or were considered in the past. The plain truth is you give everyone of your customers this courtesy or you give no one this courtesy. What they did in the past is irrelevant.
  11. To me graders notes should be mandatory. If I'm paying you to grade a book then tell me how you came to that conclusion. Book is 9.0 tell me why. The graded book is a product. Notes should be there for everyone not just a few because the grader didn't feel like adding them this particular day. Same goes with anything. Everybody needs to get the same thing. No exceptions. I get busy at my job too and cutting corners is never an option.
  12. If the so called "key death issue" was no longer included on the CGC label, but the value of the book remained the same, would the OP be satisfied?
  13. Ok thanks. Guess I'll just press everything to keep it simple. If that's possible.
  14. So they won't hold onto books and ship them at the same time even if requested?
  15. Not really a newbie but it's been a while since my last submission and I'm not sure of the answer. If I submit some books all under the same tier, but some will be pressed by CCS and others will not, will they all be shipped back to me at the same? Or do the the unpressed books get graded first then sent out and the others also when they are finished. Just don't want to pay multiple shipping fees if I don't have to. Thanks.
  16. CGC gives them away to various random sellers on ebay who then make it a selling point in the title. Because you know people wouldn't be buying if they had to pay for a bag and board.
  17. This taken directly from the CCS page. It would be cool to know the "trade secret"
  18. Do any of the auction houses show scans of the back of the book? I'm looking thru all these raw books but all you get is the front.
  19. My friend had a comic shop late 80s. He graded everything NM, FN or Good. That's it. Don't even remember hearing about restoration tbh.
  20. All remaining books now 25% off thru Wednesday evening. CLOSED
  21. All remaining books are now 15% off.
