I've learned a few things from this thread and I don't know what's worse. A. Employees are stealing from customers to make a buck. B. People are still on Facebook.

Watch an ebay video on how to remove. It's really not that difficult.

You don't have to remove it but I would. Reason being if they damage the book when taking it out of the slab they are not responsible.

I'm putting together a submission too. My books that I buy or sell are generally around $100 to $200 in value so I'm not concerned about shenanigans.

Honestly when you take the human factor into account its not hard to figure this one out. Not sure if you all have the bar codes in your mIl boxes but...... when we get our mail they have a picture of the items we can view thru their website and what day it was delivered. Just like this past week, all this mail was shown as delivered. But we didn't receive squat. But our neighbor did. In fact he received a whole bunch of mail that wasn't his. He had to personally walk around the block and give people their mail. So what happens if your neighbor isn't as honest as this guy? You guessed it. Someone out there has a nice comic that's not theirs. Proper insurance is always you best friend.

How does this book get a blue label? If you touch up a color fleck the size of a pen tip you get a PLOD. But this still blue?

Wow I always submit like 3 or 4 books at a time so I've never seen one of those long cases. There should definitely be something between each slab. I know that takes up valuable room in the box but the slabs butted up against each other is a bad idea.

At what point in history did people start spending gobs of money on stuff that carried sentimental value?

Just trying to keep up with this and thinking...... does anything ever happen to these scammers? Looking back people like DD or "insect color pet" just keep doing what they're doing. Maybe something different. Maybe a little bit less to calm the waters. Pretty discouraging seeing all the detective work over the years but no justice ever becomes of it.

I remember saying back in 2021 that book values would eventually halt and go back down. I had alot of people angry at me and just left the group. Not sure why those groups are so uptight about everything.

I would hope CGC does the right thing and not sweep it under the rug. Please just expose this guy and take care of this problem the 1st time. Even if it makes you look bad. You think the auto industry wants to perform recalls on thousands of vehicles? No but they do because it's the right thing to do. I'm sure this person/person's have performed this crime on many lesser value books as experiments. If you don't go after this person you've given a green light for other scammers to do likewise. Don't let your customers down. They helped you get where you are.
