So who turned in a grade of 4.6? That's an ebay VG++ from what I understand.

If it was my book I'd be grading it. To me that small stain shouldn't knock the grade down too much. Not IMO a moderate defect as defined by CGC. I see no reason why it shouldn't get a 9.0 but it's gonna come down to that little stain and what the grader thinks about it. There is a 9.0 that just sold on ebay with the old label. Your copy is much better than that one IMO.

For those of you that like to wait till the last few hours....... this is the last few hours.

I think that is a 1st, but just glad that 8 and 8 is consistent for me, which I think is the usual midpack.

 

Same for me. 8 in both rounds and hopelessly stuck in the middle.

I agree. Moving forward I'm sure we will improve the contest to make sure it is as fair as possible for everyone. 

I would support that stance too but it kind of got decided before some of us had a chance to throw in our 2 cents. Patiently waiting for the round results to see where everyone else was on the certain books.

Yuck. I had 1 point after the first 3 books and ended up with 8 points. Pretty disgusting all from HOS

I was banned from that "other" grading companies forums years back. They had just screwed up my 4th consecutive submission along with many others at the same time and we got really vocal about it. I believe 4 members who had all been there since the beginning got the perma-ban within a few days. Fun times.

Bugs. Disappearing ink. It's enough to make one mad I tell you. 

I guess the question would be... when does a moderate defect become a major?

Not sure I wanna see the current standings but is this where it'll be posted once it's all figured out?

So it's 1 point for every incremental grade? I had IH 5 @ 1.8 so that's 1 point correct?

Yes. I don't believe shortcuts in one area improve how a company functions in the long run.

So what you're actually saying is: "Sometimes CGC notes major defects on the label"? Not, "some people always get grader notes".

Isn't conversing with me wasting your time? All I want is for every customer to get the same thing. For everything. Period. If you don't feel that's fair then let me know and I won't waste any more of your time.

Who are "some people"?

Some people get grader notes on their slabs, some don't.  . Search random books on ebay. Some will have notes, some will not. Maybe you can tell us why that is.
