Hi folks, My second and third shipment from CGC arrived this morning via FedEx and I discovered one of the books on the end was damaged during shipping. This is clearly a shipping issue and not a CGC issue. For those of you who have had issues like this - what have you done? Will CGC re-slab the book? I dont see any damage to the book itself, thankfully, but who knows it may end up dropping down from a 9.8 if the book was scratched.

Out of my last three modern slows I got roughly the grades I was expecting (there are always a couple higher and a couple lower).

Things are definitely flying now. Just has a package of pre-screen slow track moderns that arrived on March 21 enter in to SFG. They are saying they are opening packages from the week of the 7th but it seems they are going faster than that unless I got lucky.

It is a tough market to figure out investment choices since many of the bigger keys are sky high right now. I dont have a crystal ball or anything, but I cant see everything sticking at current market prices. My personal opinion is a lot of the early Batman keys, particularly GA ones, are solid investments right now. Yes, they are jumping in price but they have been undervalued for a long time so it is more of a market correction than anything.

No labels. Apparently it does make a small difference based on what others have said, but I have never used the label option.

Shifted to Quality Control/Finalized a few minutes ago, 28 March 2022. Things are lightening fast at the moment.

I am about to send in a modern FT in a couple of days from now. Based on what people here are saying it is exceptionally fast once it hits SFG, but the slow part right now is it is taking a month or more to even get the boxes open and into the system. Once this backlog clears out though it should be pretty smooth sailing.

I realize the topic of Newton Rings has come up before, but I am wondering whether there is any new info on what can be done about them. In a comic I just got back they are making Wolverine look like he is frothing at the mouth, which isn't necessarily a bad thing except that it was not a part of the original drawing. Please note that I am in Canada so sending it back to CGC for re-holdering is not a great option due to shipping costs.

Modern slow track pre-screen just shifted to Grading/Quality Control - 25 March 2022.

Wow, things are really picking up now and moving quickly. Modern slow track group of 25 pre-screen books received 11 Nov 2021, shifted to G/E/I 24 March 2022.

I just had a package with 25 slow track moderns that arrived at CGC on March 10th enter into SFG. This was a very pleasant surprise - go team!

This is awesome, my next modern pre-screen was received on 11 Nov so it is getting close!

Sometimes it is picked up and entered into a system at a later point. I had that happen with my box that shipped out on the 17th and there were no updates until over a day later when it hit a connection point.

My shipment of books that got to CGC on Feb 22nd hit SFG today.

I guess I am old fashioned, I still have my tried and true Facebook comic group and I am not even on Instagram. I do know people who have done very well with selling comics on IG, and it is a fantastic option for people, but I really dont want more social media in my life.

If FedEx is the same in your area as mine you can get them to hold at a location for pickup. Assuming your trip is not super long that should do the trick.

Mine are 11/11 so we are pretty much back to back.

Does anyone know where things are at with modern pre-screens? I have a shipment of moderns heading back starting today, and my pre-screen moderns got to CGC about 4 days ahead of the other group. The web page said 15 working days at the time for pre-screens, but some people have said that the pre-screens have been taking much longer.

I was pleasantly surprised twice as many times as I was negatively surprised, so I am calling that a big win. The only downer is the biggest book that I thought was flawless ended up at 9.6 instead of 9.8. C'est la vie.

Grades are in and it is marked as shipped for tomorrow. This is a special one for me. Up to now I have always submitted through a presser. This time I pressed and submitted my own books.
