  1. I don't think my Flash collection will be complete without some of these classic foreign reprints.
  2. Terry, thanks for sharing - I just love seeing them! It does seem that this is an unaltered version of the 140 cover? I know for some, there were adjustments/alterations to the original cover art. So... what else is inside? What other titles made it inside that months issue of Hundred?
  3. Knowing you Terry its going to be something AMAZING!!!!
  4. In all reality, we know a book like that should be in the 1.8-2.0 range but.....I should have given it the double bump
  5. Great contest though Mike! Every few of these I will go on a rant about how much I appreciate these contests. And now that they are coming every few months it really lets us sharpen our skills. These much needed check ups are invaluable to me. I always enjoyed grading comics, from the very beginning- way back in the old wild west days before grading guides and CGC grading comics for me was always fun and challenging. These contests help me stay on track and give me a chance to recalibrate. Thank you so much and to everybody that helps in the background. I love the tables and all the analysis that you all do. All of it combined really deepens our knowledge and helps us learn and grow.
  6. With the tape and the staples you gotta figure they would grade it as cover detached? Right? Plus the back cover was not in great shape, it's not like this book had any counter acting attributes to bump it. Other than it being a GA Don Heck cover
  7. I hit the Don Heck book too hard ... I had it at 2.5 I gave the Avengers a 7.5 But it was Diary Secrets that really threw me I scored it a 4.0...those staple tears, I was left wondering if the cover was partially detached.
  8. Ooooooooo! That's right Jaylam!!! 107 does have a July cover date!!!
  9. Grades are in. But I'm sure I'm out....Great fun though. And now its off to other great comic book adventures
  10. I have been AWOL from this thread fans for months now. It's great to see and catch up on all the activity. Loved seeing you all help each other out on the Ebay thing! And of course sharing all these classic covers! I just watched this again recently and I have forgotten now if I've shared this before but here goes Two great youtube videos to enjoy:
  11. Flash was a bi-monthly book, I do not believe there are any "July" dated books from this era. I will have to go back through the archives to see when the first July book was printed. It may be the later in the 70's. Any other Flash fan out there know right off hand?
  12. I hit this book hard for this defect. It seemed to be a cut through the book. An otherwise great book I ended at a 7.5. Could not get to the 8 range with that kind of slice.
  13. I tanked on Spidey and HOS - missed the water stains on HOS , I saw one on the back cover of Spidey....I think but I think I got a total of 5 points on those 2 books?!?! I would love a chance for a do over as I bullseyed the first 3 books!!?? Yes, I did and thats rare for me
  14. Some day I will own a page! So great to see these come to market! It fuels my dreams!
  15. This is very discouraging to hear. I am a big fan of the full backs. I may not have enough to complete my project. I remember buying a bunch (2018?) maybe enough to complete my Flash run? I got about 3/4's of the way through and put that project aside. Now I have to go back and see if I really bought enough. I know I have the rest somewhere and the Mylites to go with them but I remember thinking I was going to need more at some point. So finding out that they no longer offer the same product is very disheartening. Please Ernie give us back our full backs!
