  1. Another book I'm debating on whether I should send for grading. Looks like the bottom staple is detached from the first page and there's a spine split to the rear cover along with other condition issues. I appreciate any and all opinions. Thanks in advance!
  2. I'm debating on whether I should send this in for grading and if I could potentially get it to a 6.0-6.5 with a clean/press. A decent sized cbc on the upper right hand corner and upper left corner. A few spine ticks and faint lines running through front cover (maybe can be pressed out). I've tried to include as many pictures as possible to help the evaluation of potential grade. I appreciate any and all opinions. Thanks in advance!
  3. Won't ever bother buying from them again. Bought a variant for $50 and waited a few weeks before contacting them. Received an email back saying they were in the process of shipping the order. A week later and nothing. Had to reach out multiple times to cancel order. A good lesson learned for myself and anyone looking to buy from them.
  4. Great price for anyone that doesn't already have one...new CGC label + newsstand.
  5. I'd be curious if CGC would add "Stan Lee File Copy" if you chose to get them reslabbed with the new labels...
  6. Never mentioned anything related to age. I've been a long time lurker and a collector for 25+ years. I don't post often because of the elitist attitudes often present on forums as evidenced by your "You've been here 2 months and have still no idea what you're talking about." Hate to tell you this but someone's post count doesn't determine their knowledge in a hobby. I'm well aware of some from the older generations being way more technologically advanced than some knuckleheads from the newer generation who barely know how to turn on a computer. My post was related to inherent biases when someone becomes attached to a certain format rather than expanding their horizons. Much easier to dismiss something new than be a little more open minded. That goes for everything.
  7. Agreed, it may be user bias for veteran posters here bumping up the boards interface as if its something better than it actually is just to bash IG/social media.
  8. The Instagram format of having a pre-existing account and only having to open an app to search comics quickly with pictures is much more convenient than browsing the forum through the smart phones web browser. A much more efficient method of shopping for comics on the go.
  9. Nothing but positive experiences so far from buying through Instagram. It's a win-win as the sellers don't have to pay eBay fees and usually those savings are passed down to the buyers. It also seems like there are some really good genuine collectors willing to try to help each other out. As for the raffles, generally they are a waste of money unless you get extremely lucky but even then, the sellers too often make out with selling a book higher than retail with the amount of raffle tickets they receive. Not a big fan of that practice especially when people are shelling out hundreds of dollars for a single raffle slot.
