  1. The 1st book was pressed by a well known presser not CGC and sent back to me then I submitted. I reviewed the book after the pressing. That was a couple months ago. Golden Age grader Notes and Label say detached. The 2nd book which I just got the grades back was not pressed, I submitted the book. I even went back to the conversation when buying the book to double check the conversation and review the pics, I specifically asked if it was attached then and reviewed the book when it arrived packed it up and sent in to CGC myself with about a dozen other books. This was a Silver Age book. It is in the grader notes but I do not have the book in hand yet to see the label . Anytime I have something pressed other then at CCS I have it sent back to me and submit myself.
  2. I tried to search around for this topic but did not find a thread. I just got the grades back on a book and this the 2nd or third time I have sent a book in with the cover attached yet when it comes back graded it is now detached. Obviously these were lower grade books.. but fairly pricey books where the grade is significant to the value and obviously the condition is now significantly downgraded. I know they have to handle the book to grade, but I handled both of the last 2 books this happened to (even had one pressed) and the covers stayed on. Has this happened to others? Do I have any recourse? Should they at least have notified me if this happened during handling? Thanks Jay
  3. HAHAH- No worries, I would have taken them, I just didn't want him to miss out.
  4. You have me listed as the buyer for the last 6 but I think incrediblepulp claimed them.
  5. I love subscription creases!!!where are the prices???
  6. That stinks all around but I do remember reading (or in a video of CGC reps) that FMV is not really what they are considering with a book it is what you put the value as . Unless it is a glaring attempt to undermine the tiers they go by with what you value itat . So by putting 10k you kind of pigeon holed yourself into that. I usually overvalue unless it is something over 3k and I have collectors insurance which covers my stuff when mailed so I have not looked into it much.
  7. Might have to change your name to stinkinpencilin! Nice work- happy to add this to my collection
  8. I think they did that to be more conservative when sending those emails.. because I had the same thing.. Amazing Adventures 11 went as a P-gx 7.5 they emailed me saying it would probably be a 6 or 6.5 I said to move forward and it wound up a 7.5 anyway. Better safe then sorry I guess.
  9. Great communication, fast pay and fair offers! A pleasure to deal with.
