  1. Up and down. I grabbed a jrjr I’m pretty happy with and the lee X-men seemed light. But a lot of strong numbers too
  2. Ask Anthony Snyder I bet he will if someone asks
  3. For that price it should come with booze instead of juice! congrats Bob!
  4. Just posted this one on caf- I could not be happier with how it turned out. I asked Eranga Devasurendra to reimagine the original X-men inferno ad from back in the day.. and he created this DPS beauty! If you haven’t checked out Erangas art you are missing out ! https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1896615
  5. I agree with a lot of what you say- but there are still gems out there with distinctive styles I really appreciate . a couple that come to mind you should check out if you haven’t . Josh Cassara Declan Shalvey Robert Gill off the top of my head:
  6. Definitely an interesting topic over all… but this one to me is even more so… as there were 50 or so artists involved and a good amount were known for selling there art..
  7. Yea- pre dates it. From what I have researched I’m pretty sure it is the second time he drew a published wolverine. Only thing I can find earlier was a couple panels in costume in the 1st issue of the magic mini series
  8. Hahhaha- ok… I can’t wait to show it. Pg 3 John Buscema and Klaus Janson. Written by Stan Lee. story time… I had to go pick up something I had bought from Essential Sequential. Jason and I are friends so we were Bsing and Klaus had just sent him a ton of pages for him to archive and possibly sell. So he let me start thumbing through them. There was probably 1000 pages… so I’m going through stuff from the 70s until now in no order whatsoever…. And there it was! A couple messages back and forth with Klaus and we made a deal!
  9. Hi Brian Good Info! I always find it interesting that these guys still have random pages 3 plus decades later! That's where mine is coming from too,
  10. When I was a boy back in 85... I got my hands on a copy of Heroes for Hope with the X-men. I was already a growing x-fan but that book was kind of mind blowing. The art adams cover was always the reason I thought it stuck so much. But as I got older I realized it is actually because it was my first exposure to so many great artists of the time. If you do not remember the book... it was a fundraiser , and a jam book... each artist writer and inker did only a couple of pages. The list of people who worked on it is incredible (see below) ! I have actually carried a copy around for years getting creators to sign it. Since I now collect original art I have wondered for a while where all the art for this book is??? I searched CAF and there are only 2 pages shown... and even on the HA archives there is only one for sure .. and some pencil only Frank Miller pages, which I am not sue why they were not inked. So where is all the art for this incredible book???? SPOILER- I was able to pick up a page recently and I will show it and tell the story on how it came about in a post in a bit.. but right now I would love to see what you may have or hear the theories from the people who have been doing this a lot longer then me!
  11. I agree with this- especially the Rachel vs Selene page- whoever got that one stole it
  12. I think no one knew about that auction… seemed like a lot of low prices
  13. Off topic.. I am picking up a real fun page for an 80s X-Men fan Monday. Nothing crazy but something you do not see to often. I will message you when I have it in hand!
  14. you know what I was thinking lol. Well I am sure it is awesome as your taste and mine seem to intersect a lot! Congrats!
  15. Yup- I am aware,., so 20% more a year later for a better cover both visually and content wise makes perfect sense.
  16. I’m not sure why everyone is so surprised by this one,,, the 107 cover went for 360k almost exactly a year ago. And this 98 is earlier , a much better image…better images of the X-men and in action vs a key villian and one of the few early covers wolverine is actually on.
  17. What do you need to know Gene? I know him
  18. Here is a recent frame job for a Dodson homage cover coming out next year
  19. I post it all!! Or intend to- I’m a bit backed up at the moment. And I think everyone should .. here is my reasoning 1) it’s easy to track, sort, look at etc. you can see when you got a piece , what it cost and even gives you a peek into your thoughts when you got it if you do a write up 2) I like looking at other peoples art so why shouldn’t they see mine! Sharing is a fun part of the hobby 3) if you have certain focus people will start to offer things you may like that were not necessarily for sale publicly 4) it’s fun.. rearranging galleries or changing featured pieces gives another layer to hobby engagement 5) to all those “I hate getting emails about stuff that isn’t for sale” I say boo to that.. I ignore all kinds of other spam email so why not this, also like someone else said you never know what that guy asking has? You may want what he has more than yours . And lastly I recently had a personal issue where I needed to raise a nice chunk of funds- so instead of scrambling to sell something I had a nice Rolodex of people who would make a fair offer on a piece I maybe didn’t want to sell but now needed to.
  20. Just scanning and organizing some art. so I figured I would share some recent commissions- Goblin Queen by Mike Mckone and Phoenix by Rick Leonardi
