Feeling like a dead duck...

Get rid of them yesterday.

I don't have a lot of high dollar value books. What I do have is nice reading material. But I'm in the winter of my years, so accordingly I have been moving out a lot of stuff whether through MCS, giving to friends or donating to the local charity store. At the start of the year, my goal was to pare down my collection by 50%. Pretty close to doing that, but it isn't enough. Do I really want to hold on to some books because I might get a dollar in trade credit a year or two from now? This is my second purge since I got back into collecting in 1987. I probably have less than 20 long boxes ( if I emptied the gajillion shortie boxes in the Closet Of Doom into long boxes).

Nothing I want to buy....

Would have passed on this one completely. Especially with that photo and no real descriptions to speak of.

NG. I was thinking you could get close to $75. Then saw this one ebay:

4.0. That chew or chunk on the lower bc drags it down.

Picked these up for the El Diablo stories. There isn't a Hex story in 15. Nice mid graders.

4.5 tops, closer to 4.0.

I'm going with a 3.0. The staple rust, the spine wear and the small piece out of the bc stand out.

I've never sent a book in for grading, but have purchased several slabs on the secondary market. I always thought their grading was too high on Silver Age books.

2.0 to 3.0 range.

2.5 to 3.0.
