  1. Update: The book is scheduled for delivery today to my favorite professionally trained paper conservator. I hope to have it back in a week or so, then it will be hitting the road to CGC.
  2. The seller should have been more understanding. A happy customer who got away is better than an unhappy one who felt trapped. A negative feedback rating is in order here. I can’t believe he actually forced you to go through with the purchase, as any good seller understands this type of behavior is likely to end up with a return request, chargeback, or PayPal claim. He is lucky you are honest. If he did this to some people, he might get a return request and a quarter bin book back in return. As for the book, I’ll go 4.5.
  3. Most of the mark running from the L in HULK through the Hulk's head can be removed by pressing. I think it looks like a 7.0 or 7.5. If you get a chance, check out my ASM 129 and make a guess.
  4. My brother had that toy back in the early 80's. I think he got it when we went to a Salvation Army store in Clarksville, TN. Memories Raw copies in high grade are tough to find these days. Everyone is getting them slabbed. If you send yours in, best wishes on the grade!
  5. I will definitely come back later to share the grade I just got my ASM #194 back today. It looked like a 9.4 before being pressed and got a 9.8 afterward! I'm very happy to have a 9.8 among my ASM keys. I'll never be able to afford a 9.8 #129 though.
  6. The only area needing the press is the upper right back corner. The ding doesn't break the sheen of the cover, so it should press out. With that fixed, it's only defects will be three tiny spine tics and ever so slightly fuzzy spine corners. I've seen 9.4's with similar defects and am really hoping it might squeeze out that grade after the pressing.
  7. I plan on getting it cleaned and pressed to fix the slight ding on the back upper right corner. It has three small tics on the spine, otherwise it is beautiful. Any thoughts on pre and post pressing/cleaning grades?
  8. I think I found it, although the paragraph I quoted earlier seems to indicate WTB posts are okay in this forum, as well. Here is another area of the site that seems to be setup specifically for WTB. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/50-comics-market-want-to-buy/
  9. I did not see a forum for WTB posts. First, I was on this page: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/63-comics-market-forum-only-selling-area/ At the top, it says, " A forum for direct selling offers to other board members without an intermediary (no ebay, or other outside sites, etc.), and for Want To Buy posts." Since there is no sub-forum dedicated to WTB on that page, I figured my post should go in the sub-forum related to the time period of the books I am needing. If you have a link to the WTB forum, I will be happy to post there instead.
  10. I need the following books. I prefer the sketch covers to be unused. 0 RE 81 RIB 92 Convention Edition
  11. Anything that would still be visible after a pressing. Things like spine ticks that have tiny white lines, full creases, or dents/dings that break color and/or paper. Minor damage that does not break the color can typically be reversed by pressing the comic.
  12. I am in need of this book with no color breaking flaws. I can offer $100, which is a nice premium for anyone who scored multiples a couple of years ago.
