Got a couple of great books, packaged well and arrived quickly. Thanks Ryan!

Doesn't the fact that this thread has reached 20 pages of animated discussion answer the question posed in the title?

Nothing new to longtime members of the boards, but for someone new like me, Mark is one of the reasons I felt immediately at home on these boards. Super books, well graded, all packed securely. Sales threads that don't just offer books but engage everyone participating, he really knows how to make a sale fun for all. On top of that, generous with his time and advice for newbies. A+ experience. Thanks Mark!

Great little set, love them! Cool and inexpensive, very wild piece of comics history. And barely takes up a third of a short box! I do need a couple Vickis if the OP has some to sell, but I have completed the rest as a reader grade set and I upgrade affordably whenever I come across nice ones.
Ha. Nope, I only have the #1s (and one random Wulf #3 I picked up as part of a lot on a recent board sales thread).

One of the few here as well. Doing a sales thread soon and there will be some sword and sorcery stuff, in fact there are two lots that will be called "sword and sorcery" lots. Such a natural fit for comic book storytelling. Artists like Redondo, Chaykin and Windsor-Smith really got it.

While some of these were created by some of the greats of the era, the fact that none of the titles went more than four issues really puts a crimp on any long term fanbase appreciation. More like a cult following really. We can all wonder about the potential but it's a potential unrealized.
On the other hand, if someone ever does anything with these properties, that could change
Yeah, fair point. It's hard to have emotional attachment to something that was only around for a hot minute.

Somehow, I missed this one. Oh, the shame.

Namisgr caught me not paying attention It was the 'barbaric adventures' that threw me off..just processed it as Barbarians #2.That and the cliffhanger in IJ#4 had me doubting my memory,as i've read them all.
P.S. looking at your avatar, really glad I don't have psychomotor epilepsy and in charge of saving the human race from alien microbes.

"Ironjaw #4 gives us the "origin" of the barbarian, and this tale by Gary Friedrich and Pablo Marcos is a somewhat overdone saga of a young minstrel who is tortured and maimed by some jealous thugs. A witch tries to save him at the cost of her own immortality, and she is the one who first gives the young man his new jaw and his new name. Ironjaw was the flagship of the Atlas line, the only character to appear in five stories, but this issue is the last. We will never know the second part of Ironjaw's origin. The Atlas-Seaboard tragedy begins to unfold."

It's been a while,but I don't remember that one...is it left off a continuation as well?
I looked up the book, maybe it is Andrax i'm thinking of,with the story never concluding?Like I said,it was some time ago.I may even have issue two,but I remember being frustrated that the end of the story was never published. If you have any info,it would be greatly appreciated!
According to the article linked in my OP, IronJaw was the only A/S character to appear in 5 stories. Four IronJaw comics and one issue of The Barbarians (which oddly was published between IronJaw 3 and IronJaw 4 but bore no relation to those stories). It's in this one-off that the Andrax story appears. You are correct in remembering a cliffhanger, IronJaw 4 ends in the middle of his expanded origin story.

Preparing for my first sales thread and as I was putting lots together last night I came across my Atlas/Seaboard books, which I hadn't thought about in a long time. I love these books (and have most of the #1's in 9.4-9.8) but I never hear anyone talking about them. The story of the company and its founding is almost as cool as the books themselves. They don't seem to garner any interest though. The only sales threads that I found here on the boards are filled with the sounds of crickets, receiving either 0 responses or the OP bumping the thread, metaphorically asking "Bueller? Bueller?"

https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/374628-1-atlas-seaboard-registry-set-on-clink-part-2/?tab=comments#comment-8754808So I guess I'm going to keep them for myself as they're not salable, either due to the big warehouse find (see board discussion here) or simple apathy. It makes me sad, because these books are awesome, created by some of the Bronze greats and easy to collect due to the fact that few of the titles ran more than 3-4 issues before the company folded. For those interested, there's an amazing history and review of every issue here.
And, for your viewing pleasure, featured below are pics of every #1 they published (pulled from the net, not my collection) in their short blaze of glory. My favorites were Chaykin's Scorpion and the Goodwin/Ditko/Wood Destructor. What were yours? Bueller? Bueller?
