  3. Just wanted to add given this slab sold in old blue label with rusty staples notation @ $1.5M in 2010, I am revising my price target on this auction to $2.8M+ If you go back to that time period and look at GA/SA keys vs. multiples where they are trading now a 2 bagger is not that far fetched. Depending on grade, key, etc. many slabs today are trading at 20% ROR range vs same starting point/time frame 8 years ago. Look at time line of Cages 9.0 AC1 slab that sold in 2011. A mere 3 years later, Pristine's 9.0 fetches $1M more. Clearly this 8.5 presents incredibly well overall. Its just a matter of the staple issue being a deal breaker or not for a particular heavy bidder. Bottom line this comic sold for $1.5M eight years ago. Its not going to fetch anywhere near this range present day.
  4. I actually did not even realize this til you posed that question. All apple and one chromebook on my end, so no windows/PC.
  5. Did not see a price prediction thread so just wanted to go on record saying the end price for this comic is going to shock allot of people and I would actually be surprised if it lands under $2.4M
  6. I must be missing something. I just went into my Purchase history. Clicked on a listing I won today. Had to scroll down a little, but the entire listing is still there. Same thing for a listing I won last week. Same for item I bid on, but did not win. Went into my Bid/Offers section, clicked on multiple items in the Didn't win section, and the end price with listing specs are still there.
  7. Only work around for this catastrophe is place a bid. I have a ton of key word searches saved for books in my focus, so when said book I want is listed, I get an immediate alert. I place an early tracking bid and this gives me piece of mind to see it all the way through to the end. For BIN's the watch function is now useless.
  8. Here is the rest of the Supes stash all together Tally = Eight 9.8s & Twelve 9.6s
  9. Really happy for you. You are really a swell chap. These slabs are absolutely awesome. Enjoy
  10. Scored 4 awesome slabs on BIN/BO's. Don't be intimidated by these high BINs. Threw out some low but reasonable offers and got hit
  11. The essence of my particular fascination with sealed/slabbed toys from the 70s/80s is that it literally sling shots you back in time. I am exploring this with more depth in my journal. But in my own personal opinion as I recall these glorious days; very often the anticipation or build up to a birthday or holiday was better than the actual opening and playing with the toy itself. For me a slabbed or sealed toy is similar to capturing a moment in time for the ages. It appeals to all of our senses..... that moment two or three or more decades ago when you had it in your hands as a kid. You can vividly recall the day, maybe the weather, what you did, who you were with. I will from time to time share some of my pick ups as I am always buying.
  12. In light of this thread, there is one particular configuration I have not tried that has made me very curious now. Comic in M2 bag in top loader with closure clip. When you seal off that top/fourth side it truly has a slab like effect making the TL extremely rigid and stiff. Would be just interested to see how this feels, viewing the back cover of the comic etc. I will do this with pics and post it in my journal. I recently was clearing out storage and completely forgot about a near full run of New Mutants raw I had stashed away so looking to come up with a reasonable formula from a cost basis perspective. Another configuration I wanted to try was two full back boards with M2 bag and comic as well. Cheers to OP and everyone and thanks for the pics.

  16. Cool thing about Mag TLs is you are future proofing your entire collection. Everything will line up perfectly and you can go bigger on the boards too with piece of mind.
  17. Moderns and CA comics in standard 725M2 bag fit perfectly into Golden TL size as well. Are you putting BAs in standard too? If you step up to 775M2s than as Eddie alluded to you Mag TLs would be your only option. Either way whatever TL or brand you look at just make sure the inner dimensions of the TL are slightly more i.e. 725M2's are 7 1/4" , a typical Golden TL would accommodate 7 11/16" Once last consideration is whether or not you want to use HBs or FBs since depending on the gauge of the TL, thickness of the comics ,etc. you would not want to smoosh a comic in there. Most likely not an issue with mounting CA or Modern comics, but definitely applicable for early BA and especially DCs.
