  1. Anyone here win the Sensation 13 on eBay last night?
  2. @comicsyte95 Chris, you need to delete your name and address from that post.
  3. I'm repeating myself, but he's spectacular! Thanks for buying books on my latest thread, Dwayne!
  4. So nice to see you here again and posting @Marty Mann
  5. Does anyone else recognize Lena Luthor from Merlin? I'm really beginning to like her character. In the beginning, I kept waiting for her to put a spell on them while pretending to be nice;)
  6. Someone has a book for sale in the marketplace by Eisner, that was printed in White Plains NY. I was curious about the publisher because I worked in White Plains at one time. Anyway, I was googling the publisher and I found this other book online. I only read the beginning, I don't have time right now, but I was thinking some of you might also find it interesting. I had no idea Eisner lived in White Plains at one time, but that's not what this book is about, there is some comic history here:) https://books.google.com/books?id=s2F6SKOBj_0C&pg=PR17&lpg=PR17&dq=poorhouse+press+white+plains+ny&source=bl&ots=5tK_EwLQu3&sig=drDhxXMJKq5TniEWdp7oOWh2zRg&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiO75epuozZAhXLrVkKHQxmAsIQ6AEIQTAE#v=onepage&q=poorhouse press white plains ny&f=false
  7. This reminds me of a Blonde Phantom cover, nice colors, movement, almost the same layout as in Blonde Phantom...but in Blonde Phantom, Louise was the one carrying the gun and she doesn't come across as quite such a brainless ditz. I understand that times were different, most of the artists were male, but I look at those covers, read the word balloons and cringe...and I felt that way the first time I saw them, and I must have been pretty young. Now if you could show me a few where the guy is the du...umm less bright person and the woman showed common sense instead of just being in heat..maybe I'd read that one;) At least the majority of female superheroes were not just turned to jelly by the sight of a guy Even though Wonder Woman was a little too impressed with Steve she didn't need him to save her every time. If Lois Lane were a hot GA comic, I might have mentioned her here;) Do romance covers have wonderful art and colors, do I find the artists talented...absolutely, but they just don't make me want to buy them.
  8. That's because YOU are a romantic at heart, Richard;) which is sweet....Besides, this is just about what is hot that you don't like;) I strongly resented the fact that those were the "girl comics" I was supposed to be reading, lol...I only liked the people who could fly for the most part. My first love was GL, he could fly AND he had jewelry;) Don't get me started on Spidey, or I'll get stoned (and not the 60's type of "stoned";)
  9. Dan bought some DCs from my latest sales thread, great communication, super fast pay, and he's very very nice! Thanks, Dan!
  10. I never liked Romance books. When I was a kid, if that was all that was left in the store, I'd leave. I liked Blackhawk better than Romance, any I've gotten in lots, I promptly gave away. There is something about those posed women in tight sweaters that just screamed "PLEASE GO TO SCHOOL" to me;) and the stories..well, I guess you guys aren't reading many of the stories, so scratch that;)
  11. Charlie bought some books from my sales thread last week. He was wonderful to deal with. Great communication, fast timely payment and he's a really nice guy! Thanks again, Charlie!
  12. and to make YOU feel better, @miraclemet should TAKE it;) Then you both win, anyone can get confused/ make a mistake. It's nice when you own up to it and move on. It might cost you a few $$ to ship it, but it's really worth knowing you were person enough to correct an error.
  13. Gino, this is not about me, please...I'm going to be embarrassed Thanks!
  14. Well, if you get them at all. I sent some SCI Fi paperbacks to a friend who was ill and all I got back was a label. The box was opened and the items were lost, no insurance coverage either. I would think in that case, you'd have to go through PP. You COULD open a case with them, but call them first.
  15. Thank you! That's helpful:) @gino2paulus2 By purple, I meant I'm not really "loud"...but thanks for being so nice you two...Dave can tell you the truth, I'm a witch in person;) Just not a very loud witch;), lol.
  16. @jsilverjanet, Hector, you can also call eBay and ask them. If I'm not sure, that's what I do. Just make sure you get the name and or id # of the person you are talking.
  17. I've sent the equivalent of a short box to CGC from within the same State and it was over $100 Fed Ex ground. I think it depends on whether you have an account. I don't have one.
  18. Media mail, when someone sent a package to me that way a few years ago, took almost a month to get to me. If you have any shipping numbers, you can call the usps 800 # and they do have better tracking available in the regional offices than you have access to. They were able to pretty much tell me where the package was. The problem is, it can be opened for inspection, so that also delays stuff. I'd suggest first checking with the 800#, if they don't have any info, ask for the number of the proper regional office to call. Sometimes it's the place where they mailed it from, sometimes it's yours. The regional numbers are not listed, but they are ALWAYS very helpful. I used to use it all the time for books, but not since they specifically mentioned that comics did not apply on their website.
  19. I totally missed this, I was wondering why it kept getting bumped. I have only one question, how do you figure time stamps now? I saw the nice exact time posted, all I see are hours... BTW, I buy by pm lots of times. Regular price, too...I just don't always love posting what I'm buying, maybe because in person I don't really talk in purple;)
