The criteria we're using is that the full page panel actually be incorporated into a standard sequentially paneled narrative and not be a pin-up or a stand alone story book page.

If anyone has any additions, please post your info.

    THANKS

Exciting 53...I think I know what you mean? The Centerfold for one, it's almost 2 pages.

I love that Heroic story...he just kind of FLOATS with that giant mouth...

Took me a minute to realize the cork on the chain came from the canteen.

At first glance, the ripple in Man O Metal's man-boobs looked as though they were reacting to some kind of masochistic chain/piercing ritual. Talk about bizarre! :insane:

Shall we send him a "Manziere"? (Sp)

Welcome back Bill ! Glad to see you :hi:

It's been a busy week, and I missed too much, I'm working backwards reading...everytime I look at Bangzoom's thread, my list gets longer :luhv::tonofbricks:

  3. No one liked Tangi? Maybe, some one a little hotter would be more your speed. How about Carol Vance, a.k.a. Wildfire? (shrug)

Scrooge = Most Valuable Poster! MVP! :applause:

I absolutely agree, thank you for posting those stories Scrooge, they are just WONDERFUL...and they keep me reading these boards! :cloud9:(worship)

Glad you're enjoying them. Did you know that I missed meeting you in Chicago by 15 seconds ... the time it took Andrew to realize he should introduce us to each other but by that time you'd already walked away from his booth. Maybe next time ...

Here's another classic Jungle Queen - Lorna -

Darn, I am going to have to flog Andrew, next time I see him ...I would have liked to meet you:) I was lucky and got to meet several of the other boarders at his booth while I was bugging the heck out of him...shopping...;) he is a very kind person and was holding some of my purchases and heavy type stuff

  4. There are soooo many gorgeous strips in Smash it's not even funny. Some issues showcase: Fine, Eisner, Gustavson, Cole, Henkel, Mooney and Iger. And that's just in one issue! Just loads of talent in those pages. Later on in the run, Guardineer jumps in on The Marksman.

Comics published by Quality are jam-packed full of fantastic artwork.

I'm always surprised at how little interest among collectors there is in them.

I've posted quite a few covers (mostly Police Comics) and they haved elicited zero feedback.

I had no idea Fine was so prolific, I recently bought some Wonder Worlds he did...but I think you have a convert, and that Black Condor story, now I need to find out what happened when he became the Senator...Great stuff, I had no idea...I always thought those books, except for Police, which I bought for Plastic Man...were just not that exciting. Thanks for all the new insights! :cloud9:

  5. That's a beautiful run of Venus, Billy!

Any chance you could take a gander at the 15 and answer a question for the pre-code horror fans? We're wondering whether the stories in that issue are all/partly horror-themed like the 17-19.

I'm not Billy, but I do have #15, and above the Title, it says Strange Stories of the Supernatural...The first story is Graveyard Waxworks and they are IN a graveyard, the 2nd story is kind of in between, there is a magic mirror that imprisons images; for the 3rd one, they are back on a Space ship..and is the 4th story, there are these weird living dolls...so...

I guess they were on their way...

  6. lol..thanks...my daughter, although very young, is a mathematician and VERY practical, I'm not worried...I might need to start drinking, but I'm fine:) It's just hard to believe:)

Maybe I can get my future son-in-law interested in my comics:)

Are you going to make them put this on a registry list?:

lol...do you think it would WORK? I could try it? Maybe Metropolis let's you do that..;)

Except my daughter doesn't even want to know about registry lists...

Thanks everyone, I'm drained...I'll find more of my female books tomorrow, have a great night!
