You sure can't accuse the Black Angel of being one o' them anorexic yet over-endowed superheroines that dominate the genre.
Those thighs! That -- uh, occasional abdominal bloating!
Jack
Here's the splash page from #12, she's kind of scary with that ax!OMG, you are right, she's premenstrual!!
(see, I can say that, without fear of retaliation... ! I found someone else to post last night, but I lost her today, I wish I could remember who it was

Great pages, and that cover IS a kind of Purple, Scrooge:)
I found a Phantom Lady with the other woman wearing Purple shorts, Firehair, how could we forget her...and ...Well, the Purple Claw does have a blonde on the cover,
I'm getting NO work done, but this is fun!

Wow, I LOVED the Miss America Stories, the one with her shooting two of the bad guys in the back, was too funny... Great Planet, Szelim! and thanks for all those Purple covers, what a treat!

Kudos to JiveTurkey, for a wonderful lot of Low Grade Spideys, some of which, will fill holes very nicely, and a Wonder Woman :cloud9:bonus, that was very sweet of you, George, thanks bunches!
So... you said in the thread you had some doubles...
I have lots of doubles, of too many things, ...PM sent...

Thanks so much, guys...I didn't post this one because there is no female, but as long as we are digressing into Purple, I am also fond of Dinosaur covers...although this is a bit new for Golden Age...

Torchy and Namora are great!
yes they are, but this is probably my favorite timely girl cover, and as a bonus check the wonderful centerfold.
That's a great book and very hard to find in any condition, that one is beautiful!
I'll look forward to the Purple covers:)

What a nice idea:) I'm sure I have a bunch cause that's what I usually focus on, so I'll look tomorrow, but for now...one of my favorite purple covers...

Yes, Plastino...I'm looking for the next one, I have it somewhere, it's Boring...

I don't usually post my covers
Glad you did. Those Planets were beautiful.
Thank you...Sometimes, I forget what I have hidden in these boxes...it's fun to what the thread and say "I HAVE THAT"
Of course mine look like distant cousins, ...but it's fun...

Have I mentioned lately that this is the coolest thread going?
cooler than any one of the 12 pressing threads in general?
:makepoint:
Can you hear me now?...?

[ way to go Sharon! beautiful books. can't tell you how much i prefer the original logo to the one that came on in the 20's.
Thanks, Billy !

I LOVE Planets, the colors on the covers are just spectacular, these are my newest acquisitions, thanks to a very nice person.
Sharon, I didn't realize you collected Planet Comics, too.
Great looking books you have there.
I didn't recognize the cover to #8. You'd think after looking at the Photo-Journal and various websites so often that I'd have all the comics memorized by now.
Thanks Bangzoom : I have a quite a few Planets, but they are in various stages of disrepair, ...That #8, is scarce, I think...I got that set from a very nice person, who also sold me some Science books...most of the others I have are later versions...I love books with brilliant colors, I'm not JUST a Wonder Woman collector,..that was only an accident, and I got hooked:)
I don't usually post my covers, I just enjoy admiring everyone else's cloud9: ...but it's a lot of fun on some of these threads, and thanks:)

There's always Mary, too....

Love Miss Fury, and another TIMELY, too...I picked up my first one, last Spring in Philly:)

Marvel recently revived Venus as a superhero in Agents of Atlas, although they did something weird with her. Still, it's nice to see they're bringing back some of the GA characters. Thanks to all for the posts so far! I'm loving these. Can someone give me a quick rundown on the Venus character? She started as a scifi (powered superheroine?) character?...and then the title evolved into horror in the early 50s? Love to see an early panel page if someone has one.
She was very Sci Fi in the beginning, I always think of her, and Moon Girl as the same type, but that's probably more a name thing...Scrooge posted a page:)
Another nice book, BTW. Do you have the complete set?
Thank you:) and thanks to anyone else who said something nice:) I missed a few posts.
I have a bunch of Venus's, but they were really hard to find...I stopped looking for them a few years ago, but I think I need to start again:)
I DO have most of the Moongirls, and a Full story I posted on another link a few months ago, if I can find the picture, I'll post it here.
