  1. This is who I had in mind I can tell that you have her in mind a lot. Ahead of her time -- implants way back in the 40s! Not this more modest Tiger Girl? Jack
  2. It would definitely be like Uncle Scrooge swimming in the money bin. Jack bonk How many of you hated the "bonk bonk" episode of ST TOS? There were only a few real clunkers in that series and that was one of them. Are you making that up to test us? Jack
  3. We're all dying to meet Pat K.! Jack hogging the thread?
  4. This cover is the BEST! Gotta get me one, every time I see it posted I want it more! Silicon monsters! WOO-HOO! Jack
  5. What exactly are you insinuating there? Which element? I see that it also features a transparent skirt on that attractive young -- uh, lady? That's always a selling point. Jack hitting hard
  6. This is probably too specific, but I got such a laugh out of it, I'll give it a try. When young Bruce Wayne and his parents moved to Smallville, what was the first line that Bruce spoke "on panel"? If that question doesn't work, I'll ask a different one tomorrow. Jack
  7. You didn't say which Tiger Girl! I know the feeling too well.
  8. It would definitely be like Uncle Scrooge swimming in the money bin. Jack bonk
  9. At least lately you've been on a tear adding mucho cool books. You're the poster I most envy currently aw shucks! I'd trade it all for your synchronous collection though.... Suggesting a name for mine -- The Asynchronous Accumulation! Jack
  10. Multiple possibilities on several. Tiger Girl - Matt Baker (or Jack Sparling) Lorna - Werner Roth or Jay Scott Pike - Pike, I guess Cave Girl - Bob Powell (an answer to one of your other questions) Sheena - Maurice Whitman Rulah - Matt Baker (OK to use him twice?) Princess Pantha - Art Saaf but probably Alex Schomburg is a better answer because of his covers Jack
  11. Pat Dempsey = Man O' Metal Show us a page if you happen to have one scanned. Maybe some people would be surprised at who drew him. H.G. Peters (Wonder Woman's 1st artist) illustrated Man O' Metal. Nice page! I think Peter's style suits Man O' Metal well with all the little curlicues and such. Jack
  12. Wild colors on that one, esp. Mr Spaceman's harlequin-like red and green suit. Maybe that's why his interplanetary adventures are so unusual. Jack
  13. Pat Dempsey = Man O' Metal Didn't even give me time to breathe! Show us a page if you happen to have one scanned. Maybe some people would be surprised at who drew him. ciorac is another Man O' Metal fan, I believe. Jack
  14. I'll ask a superhero question for a change. Which superhero was created by being buried in white hot molten steel? (Superhero and civilian name) Jack
  15. Jacob Kurtzberg = Jack Kirby Stanley Lieber = Stan Lee Robert Kahn = Bob Kane (does he count as a creator? ) lots more... John = Jack
  16. I have it! (but no scan) Paid through the nose (on my scale) for a VG+ or so copy -- yours may be a little more solid. I don't remember whether I bought it from a boardie. Great-looking Kelly art. Jack
  17. It's my only issue so I don't know if Ayers is in all. He's got 2 stories in # 3. (thumbs u Wow! Jack isn't as bad an art-spotter as he thinks he is. Honestly, it was more a matter of knowing that Ayers drew for EH! It'd be tough to spot him (especially for me) in this Mad knock-off humor style. Jack
  18. It's volume 5 of the Del Rey reprints. Wait, that wasn't really the next question, was it? Thanks for the info. Jack
  19. WOW! Great short-busser! I have an issue or two in BTH condition. Great back cover -- arsenic too. Thanks!! Probably D ick Ayers. Did he have artwork in every issue? Jack
  20. Beat me to it! I was literally just reading about that strip last night in Becker' Comic Art in America. Interesting book and it looks like a really fun strip. Looks like BZ's picture was from a reprint -- 1980's from Del Rey, or is there something newer (and more available)? Jack
  21. Too late, but thanks for playing. Jack
  22. An easy one to keep things moving. What was the original name of Mickey Mouse's pal Goofy? Jack I'm glad I posed an easy question. Jack zzzzzzzz Dippy? When it rains... Jack
  23. Dippy (or Dippy Dawg) Your question! Jack
  24. Somebody here must know the answer. Head over to General and put my quiz question out of its misery! What was the original name of Mickey Mouse's pal Goofy? Jack
  25. Well, it only has one too many letters -- none of the right ones though. Jack
