  1. Same here, but that's my usual refrain. The boy imitating the monkey imitating (I presume) Bing Crosby always cracks me up! Jack
  2. And an odd genre mixture to boot. I just hope for your sake that it's not goofy. Jack Jack, I'm happy to report that it wasn't too goofy at all and sure was a mix. Dodged that bullet! Great pages. Would you be giving too much away to tell us whether the ogres are "real" or a Scooby-Do plot? It'd be tough to imagine some danged owlhoot rustlers in them monkey suits. Jack
  3. Tiger Girl's companions, a tiger and gorilla (guessing on the second). Jack
  4. He was turned into a "robot earthman" and his fate was "to return forever to the moon." Where ya been!?! I figured you had a copy or at least knew it from a reprint! Classic Wolverton. Your move! Jack
  5. And an odd genre mixture to boot. I just hope for your sake that it's not goofy. Jack
  6. I didn't think this quesion would be so tough. If no one comes up with a better answer by morning, you might win for getting the title. I'd better go back to 16 pixel by 16 pixel cover samples! Jack
  7. Pete Warren's story was a very Weird Tale! OK, it WILL BE a very WEIRD TALE. Jack (and frequently reprinted)
  8. Pete Warren's story was a very Weird Tale! Jack
  9. Specifically, what happened to Pete Warren's body after he was abducted? He was abducted by men from the moon. JPS
  10. Probably needs more detail and a hint. Specifically, what happened to Pete Warren's body after he was abducted? Jack (I'll let it simmer for a couple of hours.)
  11. The night shift is tough! What was the fate of Pete Warren after his abduction? Jack
  12. Unknown? Thanks for all the splash pages! Great variety. Jack
  13. Ibis, the Invincible 3 You ran into the problem of people taking a few hours off to sleep! (US EST anyway) Jack
  14. According to The Chief, they were human mutations born near the first atomic experiments of 1945. Do you see any reason to doubt The Chief? He used the largest computer system yet developed, containing all human knowledge, didn't he? Jack
  15. Hard to tell who's talking, isn't it? The filing cabinet should object to that checkered suit, but I don't think that's Leland! Time crunch, so I'll have to pose a quick one. The original Doom Patrol fought three nasty mutant "brothers". How did the trio get their strange appearances and powers? Jack
  16. Tough one! Very clever clues. Exposed 9 Jack
  17. BTW, and I know this is a serious reach, do you have a copy of Cutie Pie 1? If you do, you'll see why when you post it. I don't own a copy of Cutie Pie but here's a pic from comics.org. What's the relationship between the two? Donut's got the hots for Cutie Pie. He just wanted to see her again. Jack (the girls' similar faces?)
  18. Milton, Marshall and Irving. Oddly, the few times I've seen the name in the strip, Herriman spelled it "Marshal". I double-checked in the Krazy Kat book I had nearby. I don't know whether he was consistent. Take it away, BZ! Jack
  19. After that ordeal, a lighter question. What were the names of Ignatz Mouse's children? Jack
  20. Starbuck (but you'll have to explain to me what ship that is) Jack phew... The name of the captain's ship in the panel that helmsmen was referring to! ("Why don't you tell me the name of my captain's ship?") Considering I've never seen or read Battlestar Galactica or Man from Atlantis, winning (kicking and screaming) is a near-miracle! Jack
  21. Starbuck (but you'll have to explain to me what ship that is) Jack
  22. Cetacean Man from Atlantis Jack Hi Selegue I'll repost the original question to clarify. The clues were just more hints to get the ol synaptic transmitters firing. I tried to ask the helmsmen to give more hints, but he's busy watching dallas reruns and cursing at bobby ewing. Maybe I'll get lucky later. He's eating popcorn and laughing, muttering "I knew they wouldn't get it, I knew it." Shh... He's dreaming again. shocked no one figured this one out yet. I'm trying to sneak in some clues here to get you to focus. All the clues are there.
  23. I'd never heard of it before I placed the bid. Apparently no one else has either. JPS
  24. Fun looking aviation books! This one should be boarding the Short Bus soon, if being a Norman Saunders cover not pictured in Gerber doesn't overqualify it. (The closing price says "Short Bus".) Jack
  25. Your clues look great but I barely have a clue what you're looking for! You're looking for Marvel Super Special 8 or their Battlestar Galactica series? Specific issue the panels are from? Not knowing anything about Battlestar Galactica doesn't help with the rest. Starbuck and Boomer from Moby seem to have something to do with the show, but that's not a ship's name. Maybe my rambling will help someone else. Tough question for someone who mostly cuts off at the end of Silver Age! Jack
