  1. Here is my opinion if it matters. Keep your nose out of other peoples sale threads if the books seem overgraded. The fact that noone is buying them should give a clue to the seller that there is something wrong. And if they are buying the overgraded books then both parties have an opportunity to learn a lesson in the transaction. Do it by PM if you must but dont threadcrap a sale thread. Any other thread on the boards is fair game.
  2. Probably because you're a and they don't like you...
  3. Some late kudos to the following: CD4EVER for being a genuinely nice person. Point Five for being a very generous individual tkg2627 for some great books. Very happy with the quality. Thanks guys!!
  4. Dude....honestly. You aren't speaking to a bunch of . Fix it and move on..
  5. Picked up all of these this week. Fills out my Batman Mike Grells. Only a thousand more books to go to finish my Grell collection.
  6. Has anyone managed to come up with some kind of "Market Report" for the forum? What types/titles/genres are being sold more than others. Basically a Whats Hot and Whats Not sheet kind of like Ebays listing.
  7. I also find the for sale forum spam deliciously hypocritical. Intentionally or not, he has undermined his own arguments.
  8. Yes. Any comic-related thread, no matter how inane, is more important than some stupid OT thread. If you don't agree with me, I'm happy to make my point by duplicating what POV did a few years ago to get the Mods to start clamping down on the explosion of OT threads in the General Forum. Who put your panties in a bunch? Lay off the caffeine. Nah, just tired of the constant OT threads in General. Constant?? I count 7 out of 31 threads that are OT.on the first page. I think it comes down to needing at times somthings that are not all about comics, if for no other reason then the brake it gives us. Just now looking at the Comics General first TWO pages of Threads I just counted Seventeen ( 17) Off-topic Threads. That is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much and I am not shocked but dissapointed at some of the counter-arguments on this Thread. It was too good to be true. So I will take the next step. CAL That being what CAL. Seems to me that this whole OT topic is all about YOU. What YOU want. What YOU feel. What YOU will do. What about what WE want. I can't locate the link to the Thread where Arch TOLD me to stop posting football stuff in Comics General. Rules are rules - not what we( you) want. Like I posted earlier, I will say this once more: I am not surprised, but am disappointed in the reactions and counter-arguments of this Thread. I knew it would not work, and you guys proved me right AGAIN. CAL was that your whole reason for bringing it up? brilliant Straw Man strategy. uhh, read further back - you missed the MAIN reason I decided to forge ahread( and I already know that people like you fit the sig line below)... CAL Perhaps you should consider the issues and tribulations of the two gentlemen you quote. Use that spirit for considerably more noble reasons then to shut down chatter on a comic forum. I dont necessarily disagree with your intent, but me thinks you doth protest too much. IMHO, of course.

  11. Can you guys please can it with that *spoon*. I' m tired of filtering through pages and pages of bumped, infinitely quoted, gremlin posts.
  12. Who are you referring too? Myself? If so I am legal drinking age. Anyways I just don't think its fair to keep purchasing more and more comics while at the same time charging up multiple credit cards. I have heard stores of dealers, I won't mention any names, who have indeed done this in order to acquire certain pieces. Credit card bills that till this day, 10 or 15 years ago, they are still paying off. I just don' t think this right nor fair to seller or others who have the money too pay up front. Thats like saying, you shouldnt buy a home because you dont have the 400-900 thousand in your bank account. No read my post. Yes I believe you can put things on credit cards. Things that are necessary, such as food, clothing, transportation and shelter. I just have a problem when it comes to charging excess frivolous stuff. Well......you certainly shouldn't overextend yourself on any non essentials. I have philosophies about the use of credit cards but (see my previous post) there is an obligation with the credit card company that you agree to pay them back with interest and they will front you the money. The only real damage done is if you do this to such an extent as to cause financial trouble for you and your family. The occasional purchase via credit card is perfectly acceptable but, myself, I tend to use them only when necessary. However, to each his own. I do not believe the use of such to purchase comics is intrinsically wrong or unethical. Thats seem an extreme viewpoint to me.
  13. Time payment, full payment at time of purchase, trade, or however the arrangement is agreed upon, it really doesnt matter. Hold up your end of the bargain. On the day you die all you get to take with you is your good name. Do you really want that tarnished? Barring a catastrophe, for which most reasonable people would understand, there is no reason not to fulfill your obligation in a timely manner. And thats all I got to say about that.
  14. Just how exactly does someone find such nice books? I absolutely love the cover art on those Ghosts.
  15. I thought the same thing. With the spines exposed as such with little support on either side are you not concerned about possible spine damage?
  16. Picked this up along with 6,7,8,13,14,15 and 17. All in similar condition. Got them all for less than a buck each.
  17. Yay! Got it for $10.00. Spine stress and crease or two but...I love it. Love the cover on this one. Lots of spine damage on this but....it was cheap.
  18. Thank you for that. You should write the instructions and post them in a sticky for all to see. I hate having to dload megs of images just to open a thread.
