TEEN AGE ROMANCES 40 1.8 C/OW $ 225 .... Last GPA in 2.0 was $456 less than a year ago. You very well might get a 2.0 out of this one, no large pieces missing but it does have a popped top staple and a partly popped bottom staple. No staple rust that I see and fully attached centerfold. This looks good in a Mylar.

This was my first time attending Windy City and I was very pleasantly surprised. It's definitely an old-school show dedicated to collectors and enthusiasts. Everyone from the organizers, dealers and fellow collectors/attendees were super friendly and welcoming. I was happy to meet a few dealers i had done some business with by email and online, so it was nice to place a face to a name! I found prices for lower grade and/or non-key pulps to vary widely from very affordable (i.e. bought several that I didn't need but prices were too good to pass) to optimistic ebay level. I also heard that Matt Nelson was there Friday showing off the new CGC pulp case prototype. The auctions showcased some impressive and rare items, and some jaw-dropping prices were paid for high grade Weird Tales and Lovecraft ephemera. Although I suppose not so shocking with the current trajectory of the pulp market. I was very happy (and pleasantly surprised) with the few auction items I did win. Overall an awesome experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in pulps, pulp art, and pulp history, and to those who enjoy an old-school collector's experience. I definitely plan to attend again.
