  2. You know what sucks? All the Star wars stuff clogging everything up at comic conventions
  3. Depends if it's in the new-old or new-new slab. Hate doesn't look nearly as good with those Newton rings. The Creep Engine is compressing my hate into blinding rage
  4. They get their ego's stroked. Seems like the circus atmosphere that the Convention's have turned into is getting on the nerves of people who just want to buy some comics and meet some comic book artists/writers. I did have a problem with Elite Con's admission price. $25 for a hotel show with no artist...meh. There has been quite a bit of anecdotal evidence from comic sellers on these boards who have reported cosplayers blocking isles at shows and not really buying anything. I tend to believe in some of that. To be fair, some of them must buy something but I have a real hard time believing that the female cosplayers in particular are going to shows to buy bunches of silver and bronze age comics.
  5. at your screen name. Shouldn't your location be Likefropolis though? A good idea is a good idea.
  6. Professional cosplayers wouldn't be going to a small comics only convention anyway. Well, then win win for all
  7. I can't like anymore. All I have left is my hate
  8. Yes, I'd prefer such a show. However, I have no real issue with cosplay, although I think it's a bit odd to pay admission and not buy anything. Have a costume party if that's what you want to do. I think the bigger issue is the non-comic related guests and these events turning into pop culture cons instead of comic cons. I prefer the comic cons of old. Just comic book dealers and maybe a few comic pros.
  9. Are You A Contortionist? Do you like to bend yourself into various positions while collecting comics?
  10. Click the up thingy above left of Blowie's post
  11. TMI Until it burst from me like an infected pustule
  12. I stored the new hate Deep inside me
  13. I've never really been a completist/completionist. I've tried at times but something always stopped me. Sometimes it would be a key issue that was out of my price range. Other times, it would be the idea of buying issues of a run that I didn't really care about and was only buying them to complete. I've done smaller runs or runs within a series that contained work by an artist that I liked but that's about it.
  14. I think pushing a ice pick into your ear might be less painful than what you're trying to attempt. I can't imagine doing this with any major Marvel character given the endless reboots and reimaginings, the movie universe changes, and the complete abandonment of traditional continuity.
