  1. Some folks will be wary of buying from a newbie. If you have any references that you can share that may help. Have you dealt with anyone else on the boards either buying or selling that can vouch for you? Sharing your ebay feedback may also help. Paypal fees will still come into play of you sell here. You cannot ask for friends and family payments. Make sure you read the selling guidelines carefully.
  2. I know more of us have copies of this book.
  3. What idiot would get those books signed by artists that had nothing to do with them? Just asinine
  4. I have two shirts made out of the stuff Edit - oh wait, that's microfiber. Never mind
  5. I thought they only served Fosters to rube tourists
  6. Let's hope it hasn't been in the press for two months.
  7. Any copy is better than no copy
  8. Instead of speculating on something that might pop or might fade into obscurity, why not speculate on keys with a proven track record of sustained value?
  9. Don't forget Spidey Super Stories 39
  10. The Last Galactus Story in Epic Illustrated 26-34 Or just read it here >>
  11. The few I have seen have been slabbed as such with a notation of a Crowley provenance. Crowley is a pedigree. Comcis with a pedigree designation and comics that are file copies are two different animals.
  12. I just want to say what an awesome post this is. Really
  13. I miss the days when he was one of us malcontents.
  14. Personally I love some of those Essential Compilations because you GET to see the artwork in B&W. Not sure how the Godzilla one looks, but the B&W Conan one, that collects the Barry Windsor-Smith issues, looks better than any color compilation I've ever seen. The Dracula Essentials are great. Gene Colan's art should always be in B&W
  15. Don't tell him about the Amazing Spider-Man 234 doubled die obverse or the Hawkman 6 VDB
  16. There really are no concrete answers to your questions. The answer could be yes or no and will depend on the comics involved in the potential trade, and the expectations of the people involved. The best you can do is lay out what you want to trade and the kind of deal you'd be willing to do and then work out the details with anyone who is interested.
  17. Nothing recent but I did sell some books years ago at various VCCs that I should have kept. Stuff like a Batman 251 that the buyer got slabbed at 9.6. Sold HOM 92, IM 55, and a bunch of Atlas war books that are now seeing much higher prices. Oh well, such is life and in the those years I have found some stuff that has increased nicely.
  18. 60K really isn't that high a print run for comics. In fact it's pretty small. All it takes is for a little bit of demand to make those copies disappear fast.
  19. I’m not clear on why it “should have” graded higher? Did you think this comic was also a 9.8 candidate? He knows what he's doing. It's not like it is rocket science or something
  20. Because we can't see the book and are forced to take your word for it that it should have graded 9.2 I'm guessing there was more wrong with it, perhaps subtle defects that caused CGC to assign it a 8.5 Just a guess because, again, I can't see the book.
  21. Werewolf By Night 6 with Spider Woman on the cover???
