Those EC Library sets were at the top of my list as a kid. I would see them at the my LCS and dream about owning one.
When I had my first summer job as a teenager, they were at the top of my list and I start buying them

I have listed on eBay a great pair of the Smurfs first appearances in any media from 1958 (yes the Smurfs are that old!)
Both comes from the same original owner in France.
Spirou 1071 CGC 7.0 OWW - First Smurfs Appearance (October 23, 1958)
Spirou 1072 CGC 7.0 White - Second Smurfs Appearance & First Cover (October 30, 1958)
