  1. Hit up an antique mall today and I found a few cool books. Nothing over the rainbow valuable, but some to keep and a couple that I will flip. Most expensive book was the Beetlejuice at $5.
  2. Could you do $20 shipped to Oregon?
  3. I found this in a dollar bin a month or two back and snagged it thinking it was possibly a variant similar to those story covers from a while back. I threw it in my to be sorted like and forgot about it until last night when I was doing some organizing. Taking a closer look it appears to be a manufacturing error as the cover is inside the book. Anyone run across something like this before?
  4. Went to a shop that I’ve not shopped at before and found a few treasures. Prices were high on the turtles, but pretty low for the Marvel Star Wars. Was a cool shop but it wasn’t too easy to hunt there. It was packed to the point where nothing was very accessible. I’m glad I snagged these.
  5. Very nice. I’ve been snagging any issue of Usagi that I come across, but haven’t seen this one yet.
  6. Dang! You are starting the year out right. I need to add some Scrooge books to the collection. I remember reading this giant old beat up Scrooge treasury that my school library had when I was a kid. I’d love to find that again. I may try and check out the Holy Corpse Rising series. I don’t do a ton of manga reading, but I’m a fan of dense world building so am intrigued.
  7. Went out hunting for the first time this year and found some goodies.
  8. Great. Thanks for getting the ball rolling. I’m going to try and be more consistent with reading and so less binging.
  9. 2020 post Credits Epilogue One last book to finish 2020. Action Comics 1028. It’s kind of fitting that the last book I read right before midnight was Bendis’s last Action Comics book. I enjoyed this run a bit more than his Superman run and loved the House of Kent run for the most part. I wasn’t a huge fan of the invisible mafia, but it was fine. It was a perfect ending to an imperfect year. With this issue, my total for 2020 is 1,511 comics. Not too shabby. Thanks for all the support and sharing what you’ve been reading. I’ve added a bunch of stuff to my 2921 reading list based on some of what was on here this year. Happy new year!
  10. 1477-1510 Huge batch of subs and some other series that I picked up for cheap. Sam Keith’s Batman is always a favorite and this story was another tale of Joker pretending to go straight to show Batman as a psychotic Villain. Had a Harleyesque villain who was a bit less loony toony. Pathfinder Worldscape. My expectations were low but it was actually pretty fun. A few parts Pulp Fantasy/action mixed into some Planet Hulk-like setting. I wasn’t familiar with Pathfinder, but the characters were easy to follow and it was a pretty fun read. What if Avengers were thrills of Korvac? One of the comics I really remember as a kid was the Korvac Saga in the first 90’s Guardians of the Galaxy Annual. I’ve been interested in the character but not enough to search out other appearances. After reading this though, I may get the original story run. Taarna. Ever since I saw Heavy Metal on WTBS when I was a preteen, I have been hooked. Taarna was a cool looking character and I’ve snagged whatever appearances of her that I can. Last Stories of the DC Multiverse: a bunch of interesting short stories all tying into the next big reboot? of the DC universe. Pretty standard fare I felt until I got to Gail Simone’s story. That legit made the room dusty. I usually appreciate her talent but don’t go out of my way to read every one of her stories. This one was pretty heartfelt though and really got to me. Usagi Yojimbo: I had the ambitions goal of reading the whole tpb run before 2021, but time constraints only let me get the first two done. Not sure how many books actually make up these first two since some are from anthologies but figuring 6 per book seems reasonable. Great story and I’ve been a fan of the character since I discovered him via the ninja turtle toys. I will be starting 2021 with some really fun reads. the others I have written about previously and nothing really amazing has occurred to add. All are tying up my wallet and won’t be getting cut anytime soon.
  11. I'm hoping to find a few more vintage collections/lots and purchase less modern toys. Additions that I am hoping to get in 2021 are: 1. Lego Sesame Street set 2. Either a Vintage Star Wars Yakface or Pop up R2 3. Loose complete Mumra 4. Figures to complete my series 1 and 2 Battle Beasts set. So many other goals, but these are sitting at the forefront.
  12. Got some new stuff in this week. Slowly adding to my New Warriors 1-25 run thanks to evilbay. The other stuff was from various shops and antique malls in my area. Got pretty good deals on it all.
  13. I don’t do a ton of magazine format comics, but I was excited to score these Eerie issues at an antique mall the other day. It was a pretty good week of hunting for me.
  14. Merry Christmas to all you plastic addicts! Hope you holidays are happy and peace filled.
  15. I found this in an antique mall and though my head says I overpaid, my heart disagrees. I had to save it from the bin of beat up, overpriced chaff. Leave no rabbit behind.
  16. I had a chance to get one a few years ago, but decided to grab an Ananaman for my vintage Star Wars collection instead. Now the ninja viper is one of the last few I need
  17. Love the collection! thanks for sharing. Have any specific piece you are after?
  18. We have some pretty cool ones out here. Along the I5 corridor from Eugene to Seattle is a pretty good run of shops. Pre Covid we also had some pretty good toy and comic shows out this way as well
  19. Yup. I know Billy. He’s cool guy and his shop is pretty awesome. mid you haven’t, check out Dr. Tongues I’m Gonna Portland, Coin Corner and Hobby in Oregon City and Replay Toys in Eugene. Those three, with a billy make up my Mt Rushmore of toy shops in Oregon.
  20. Didn’t strike gold, but found some fun stuff while out hunting. Prices were not as marked due to holiday sales. Some were much less.
  21. Not really sure. I was never super into Flash Gordon but I’m constantly hunting interesting 5 POA figure to set up with my vintage Star Wars
  22. Hey Alex, I’m in the Pacific Northwest too! What shop did you hit up? I’m guessing I know which one, but I’m always hunting for new haunts.
