So I achieved a minor collecting goal this week by obtaining the remaining 3 pages of what has the distinction of being my favorite sequence from my favorite issue of Ex Machina. Now all the pages where Mitch meets the fortune teller in the Eisner nominated single issue "Fortune Favors" can be found lined up like ducks in a row. Mitch doesn't like what he hears. ...not that fast, not that strong... ...a man who is hardly free of sin...

Yeah, I'm not holding up my end by not buying #27!! Oops!! Maybe we should just work a couple more EM fanatics into the rotation. As I always say -- plenty of great art to go around!!

A batch of new Ex Machina pages arrived today. My first interiors in 5 issues!! First two are sort of continuations of Hundred's origin from the first issue, showing us the moments just after the explosion. Bet Mitch has a splitting headache... Nice WTC panel in this one... The last page has pretty impressive detailing, which the picture doesn't do justice to -- this is the first true appearance of Pherson in the main storyline, as drawn by Harris! Pherson and his animal pals defile a cathedral! Thanks for looking. J

Nice page Jonathan! It's weird, though, to see you post a non-EX MACHINA piece...it's like watching you cheat on your wife. Thanks for the kind words! I'm really catching up on a lot of great Marvel books lately, so I hope to add a bunch more. #1 target is a nice Cap Ultimates page!!

Nice cover, Court!! So today, my arch nemesis SOLAR posted two spectacular pages from the Ex Machina Specials. I am retaliating with this splash that just arrived today after THREE WEEKS in the mail. I was starting to feel queasy that it might be lost, but it was worth the agonizing wait!! The Great Machine!! This was also one of my most sought after pages, so it's great to cross it off my list. So a couple new pages this week, bringing some further diversity to my gallery... One is an old Y page I had for a bit and then let go -- always remembered it fondly since it was a nice dynamic moment, that included all the major protagonists -- chance came up to snag it back and I jumped on it: Brother/sister fisticuffs And my first page from the Brubaker Captain America series that I've been digging since it began. Wanted to get an iconic Cap page with him doing his thing, and here it is: That's gotta really hurt. Would really love to get my hands on a nice Epting Winter Soldier page, but haven't found it yet. Okay -- something a little different today, and hopefully the beginning of more variety in my collection Two pages from the recent Batman Annual #25. I really like that Jason Todd is back, and giving Bats a challenge for once. I don't especially care for the "he's back because Superboy punched a wall", but hey, it's DC. Jason gets beat, and runs away. and When former sidekicks go bad.
