I know Texans are bottom-of-the-barrel in terms of collector interest, but this is a lovely cover. Dynamic composition by Baker and some really lush detailed coloring.

It's quite possible that these will also command much higher prices than ever dreamed much like the rest.  If there was a beautiful lady being protected in that wagon, I bet it would already be so.

i read about newton rings all over this forum but in my personal non comic holder experience ive never seen a rainbow effect like that where moisture wasn't involved. that being said, a drop of moisture the size of a pin tip can spread way out in all directions when compressed between two pieces of clear plastic of any type. the bottom line in my opinion is that the vast majority of complaints posted on this forum should have easily been caught before being shipped out. id personally rather wait longer if it means more care will be taken. qc qc qc

Are you saying that there is moisture in the CGC facility, somehow making it's way to our comics?

I just wonder what the story is with all these Promise books coming back to market.  Did someone win all of them and then not pay?  Did the winner hit a bad financial situation and have to sell knowing they would take a big hit?  Did the winner see a new shiny ball to chase?

Succumbed to the allure and wanted to be an owner of a top tier copy?

How about this from last night? Great Baker cover, double trouble, tough. The exact same copy sold for $132.00 in 2018.

A little rough around the edges, but the colors and main image looks amazing for the assigned grade.

  5. I sent registered Mail during a time when nearly the entire store (post office) that would last handle the package was out sick.  Apparently, the distribution center for that final store could not deliver the package because recipient was not available to receive the package.  It took a few calls, and some aggravation, but it arrived.  The gent that bought the book understood but was quite stressed as well.

    Good luck
