Return.
Appears that you did nothing wrong.
Discuss with any seller about proper packing shipping techniques before your next slab purchase. Buying with confidence includes good packing and shipping practices by the seller.

Yeah, rare doesn't always cut it, determine value. There has to be lots of people that want it, or a few that Really want it to drive the dollar value up

These tracking bids are taunting me. I know they will never sell for close to the current amount.
This auction should have occurred on July 4th since the fireworks will be tremendous.

GPA says between 63 & 77 live listings for AF15, depending on which little circle you rely upon. Seems like quite a few for such a coveted book

Thanks. Excellent book to start with. My first was the Crippen copy of Teen-Age Romances 1, bought, of course from @Dr. Love.
It occurs to me that apart from Davis Crippen, @Dr. Lovehas almost certainly owned more high-grade romance books than anyone and I think he may have even owned more than Crippen.
I recall an interview, where a man collected every comic made??? and had some super silly number of books? Televised interview some years ago. Not sure if he started at a certain date and bought new, or if he was after a copy of every comic he could find. Would love to see a breakdown of his collection today.

I'm really interested in seeing how this auction goes. Sure seems like an opportunity for someone who has dipped a toe into Baker to fill in a bunch of holes in a hurry. Kind of like when @Dr. Loveheld a Baker auction years ago and I bought five or six books. My first Bakers. That guy started me on a path that's cost me a lot of money over the years!
Yes indeed. Something this large, at a bigger auction house will really test the limits. Probably test my wallet too. I've been fortunate to find some in the wild and a few at auction. Just a few years for me and my Baker interest. Maybe I'll be lucky at this event and bring one home.

Seems awfully strong given its obvious drawbacks.

I've been outbid.
Yeah, I've got a few saved but I'm sure it will end up being for tracking purposes only. Very exciting to watch and dream though.

You all with these super cool books. I'll have to settle for cops shooting at bad guys, or couples kissing. Maybe one day, I'll snag some gruesome, horror, murder covers.

The first comic auction dedicated to the work of one artist.
I think I recognize a book in this auction. No regrets.

Books I've sold, went to pay bills, and/or buy more books. I have yet to own my SA forever book in any grade.

My biggest wrong turn, was the one that got me hooked. The very first collection I bought was a small one in rough shape, but I learned a lot, and scored a Matt Baker Diary Secrets 30.

Baker Romance
in Golden Age Comic Books
Posted
I've not posted for a while. To be honest, Bakers haven't come my way... until this week.
Lower grade, but I've not won three in a single lot before.
Cheers.
