  1. That was a great "lot". Would you call the loss in vicinity of word Media a tape pull? I'd be happy with a vg
  2. 1) To be ready, when that book/collection falls into my lap this time. (I'm set) 2) I hope to find a couple more Bakers. (It might happen) 3) An extensive GA one owner childhood collection that a gentleman 40 years my senior purchased new off of the drugstore rack a couple at a time every Sunday afternoon after church services. (Hey, a guy can dream can't he?)
  3. Buddy just experienced the same thing, but valuable books. CCS/CGC is going to press and regrade. If they messed up, and you have proof while they offer no proof, don't let them off the hook.
  4. If you know it's a good deal, don't waste time. Pull the trigger and move on.
  5. Directing and Editing is so important, maybe more than the acting. Not sure I can pay to see #3 after the first 10 minutes of the sequel. I was looking forward to it but had to stop watching. If I could offer advice to the movie making teams it would be to make the movie for adults. There is enough to keep the kids interested. But, if you make it for kids, adults will more than likely tune out or in the least walk away disappointed.
  6. Have had good, neutral, bad and really bad experiences with CCS/CGC.
  7. I'd hold out/save up for a book without holes if you are able. Books are still softening, and I feel you would be helping out the seller much more than helping yourself by buying that book now.
  8. Yes, but I suppose I'm talking about any book. A different book, with same grade and characteristics may bring a 50-75% premium. Steadier market may have helped this book realize that much of a bump?
  9. Right book, right place, right time... big win.
  10. Congrats. Always a good way to start the day.
  11. That was in May of 2022, and I have since sold a few hundred of comics through And Sold It.
  12. - Owners Mark and James make it easy: Mark is the guy that rekindled my love for comics. We spoke several times about the hobby before I took the plunge after a 40+ year hiatus and bought a comic book. More recently, and wanting to sell some comics, I had good conversations with Mark about selling on their site. He fully explained the process, answered all of my questions, and eased my concerns. Following the handling of agreements and paperwork, I sent him my comics which he listed quickly with beautiful pictures and accurate descriptions. Once the comics were sold, I was paid promptly, roughly a week following the close of the auction. - Selling raw comics vs graded comics: I sold my first graded comic on these very boards, and soon thereafter, other sites. It took a while, but it was easy. I grew more than a little apprehensive about trying to sell raw comics, however. Potential buyers were always trying to get a great deal, or just kicking tires, or were not interested it seemed. I had to find another avenue to sell raw books. And Sold It, consisting of two long time collectors, each with decades of experience in the hobby, specialize in raw comics and with their knowledge and skills, helped me sell my initial submission with fantastic results making me a firm believer. - Auction containing my first submission: My first And Sold It auction Where to find them: andsoldit@gmail.com My comics:
  13. From this relatively new collector, I have mixed feelings. The stories. The art. The history. And of course, the fun, comradery, and investment potential. When something is added or taken away from a comic, making it other than original, it can certainly be less appealing. I don't WANT someone's idea of improving a comic on one of my books. However, if I really NEED something... well, different story. And the lower price point can make up for that.
  14. I may be a bit premature as it's only been shipped today. Couldn't wait though
  15. No where near perfect, but I love it. Maybe I'll be able to upgrade one day, but until then, this 3.0 will suffice CL 27
  16. Love it. Thank you. Bought this, Bad, bad, LeRoy Brown, and Love's me like a rock brand new as a kid. Still have them somewhere.
  17. There is bound to be another upswing, but there does seem to be a few red arrows out there. Timing for those investors
  18. Doesn't like it when his owner is mistreated.
  19. I guess they Are still out there. Gent on facebook, showed his Tec37 that he bought an estate sale this year. Estimated the grade to be vg+
